A study was referred to in "Transformed by the Light" where one group of people who had attempted suicide were simply given near death experience accounts to read and zero people from that group attempted suicide again during the duration of the study.

Giving people a reason to hope.... is powerful.... so maybe the book "Heaven is For Real" could be a reasonably effective part of a strategy to lower suicide rates.

Friends of yours watch Heaven Is For Real and ask you about it?

As a frequently suicidal minded person I can't help but find these simple signs humorous. I'm sure his heart is in the right place and he means well. But seeing a sign that says "don't give up".. isn't going to do much to alleviate my incredibly damaged mind, lol.

I imagine someone with a noose around their neck standing on a chair ready to kick it down. He looks out the window one last time for any last hope of validation and sees a sign that says "your worth it" with you're spelled incorrectly. The guy pauses a few seconds.. then you hear the sound of the chair being kicked down, lol.

What if it helps one person reconsider taking their life? Is it worth it? Not sure why you brought up grammar or why it's funny that grammar would matter. The signs I've seen, in person, were grammatically correct.

Personally, it is hard for me to imagine that depressed people reading simple phrases they've probably already heard multiple times in their life is going to make much of a change. The guy is not hurting anyone. He can do what he wants, I just hope he's not so naïve to think that he's going to be making much of a difference in people's mental health. Probably be more worthwhile if he started a campaign raising awareness for the need of better access to mental health programs.

I cannot help but get this image in my head that if this campaign took off, people would be making their own signs and quality control would go down the toilet. Lol. Especially the kind of people this would probably attract who think they're actually doing something productive.
