Probably, but not conviction and removal from office. Therefore, if the dirt they are afraid of comes out--either before or after a vote to impeach--they will look awful. Maybe Pelosi knows this, but only maybe.

Help me out here. From what I'm to understand, unnamed sources and gossip rags are not to be trusted, particularly when their used in articles that do little more than "tsk tsk" the other side. Yet, this article does zero original reporting and provides no named sources - it mostly rips off this Politico article, which describes its sources for information on the Steele investigation as:

Several people interviewed by the Inspector General’s office over the past year tell POLITICO that Horowitz’s team has been intensely focused on gauging Steele’s credibility as a source for the bureau. One former U.S. official left the interview with the impression that the Inspector General’s final report “is going to try and deeply undermine” Steele, who spent over two decades working Russia for MI6 before leaving to launch his own corporate intelligence firm.

As best as I can tell, the basis for the OP is unnamed sources and the goal is to tsk tsk the other side. I don't know enough about RCP to have an opinion, but they certainly seem less authoritative than, say, NYT.

Why should we take anonymous sources seriously again? And which dems are running scared? I’m not aware any of them have even commented on the matter. Why would dems be runnung scared over FBI misconduct? Wouldn’t it be FBI agents?

Generally speaking, people running scared don't run at the thing they're scared of -- they run away and hide... literally or figuratively.

In my honest opinion, Donald is the far better example of running scared... with his financial records soon to be in Congress' hands, it remains to see whether he has reason to.
