According to Genesis the mountains were in place at the time of the global flood.

Genesis 8:5
And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

Genesis is just a recent restoration event in a series of ruin/restoration events that have occurred since the earth was created.

Young Earth Creationists argue that marine fossils on mountains point to the flood, as the waters covered the mountains.

No such verses in the Canonical Christian Bibles, can't speak about the Apocrypha, not familiar with them. Mountains being lifted by water pressure is modern theories.

"The fountains of the great deep were broken up" suggests possible movement of the ocean floor.

The "great deep" suggests the oceans.
"Fountains" suggest the containment 'vessel' as water itself doesn't become 'broken up', unless the phrase is parsed to mean broken, as in break out, up as in upward. In which case the phrase would mean that the sea water broke out and upward from it's vessel.

My theory is that the ocean floors were raised spilling the oceans onto the land causing the flood. I don't believe the flood caused any mountains to form.
