And New York State to the rescue. Fortunately, I believe that many of the schedules from federal tax returns had to be attached to state income tax returns. I know that I have had to attach different schedules to state returns in the three states I lived in that had state income taxes.

I applaud the NYS legislature (and Governor Cuomo, who said he would sign the bill) for having the courage and integrity that House and Senate Republicans lack.

Not counting the redacted Mueller Report, there are probably about three thousand page volumes of material from investigative journalists (also patriots) who provide plentiful national security reasons why Congress must see the president's returns.

But if you haven't read any--I've been reading them for several years--just ask yourself, "Would an innocent man act like a despotic dictator, as Trump does?"

God bless my home state.
New York Democrats pass bill to allow Congress access to Trump’s state tax return

I don't mind the new law, but c'mon - let's not pretend Cuomo has much in the way of integrity.

Earlier this week, NYS passed a law allowing the state to prosecute and convict those who were given federal pardons by Trump--who had also violated NYS laws.

Trump and his family members are being investigated for violations to state tax laws. Trump's sister, an inactive judge, was forced to retire to escape the long arm of NY investigators probing the tax scams allowing the Trump heirs to escape 1/2 billion in estate taxes.

Then there's Cohen...Flynn...Manafort...Mueller...the insider trading Congressman from Buffalo who somehow won reelection...

Pass the popcorn.

Read this article. It's from September, 2017, but to all objective onlookers it appears that what might have been severe neuroses at that time have turned into catastrophic psychoses.

The operative phrase in the article you are referencing is:
according to a summary of the special counsel’s key findings made public on Sunday by Attorney General William P. Barr.

Once the actual report, redacted as it was, was published we saw that Barr's 4 page summary was, if viewed generously, a load of baloney, and, if viewed objectively, a stack of lies.

Sorry, still no evidence of collusion. Mueller's report still clears him. They have no evidence of it.

In that one they even quote the report.

Ugh. I wish they hadn't done that. I appreciated how NYS had a strongly double jeopardy standard than the federal one.

I don't think there is any fear at all. I think it's a battle of Will's here. Trump had been attacked from the left non-stop since his election. He's a fighter and not going to cooperate with those trying to attack him. That's his character. It's more along the lines of "you want this? You'll have to come and take it." It's not fear.
If the President’s character causes him to obstruct justice, then what?
“It’s just his character!”?
Nice try.

I simply stated his character is one that is a fighter and not one to give in. I think the president has poor character in a lot of ways. But part of his character is he is a fighter.

There is a difference between being unindictable due to his office and being "cleared."

His appointing a puppet as AG is just more obstruction, both for him and his puppet.

Well that's your opinion and your entitled to it. Bit opinions like these are not real evidence.

I've read some of the report myself. The report clears Trump from collusion.
You might want to read the part of the report where it says that the report doesn't discuss collusion because it isn't a well defined legal term before making false claims like this.

Ahh... The good ole parsing words tactic. They found no conspiracy, no collaboration no collusion, betweenTrump and Russia. It all minces together. Parse words if you like but we all know nothing was found to say Trump and Russia worked together to affect the election.

That doesn't absolve Russia from stuff they did, but it does clear Trump.

Just as AG Barr's summary of the Mueller Report was just his opinion--not evidence.

I am glad you recognize the difference. His opinion is prejudicial.

But it is a legal opinion. And his legal opinion as the AG counts. That's what they call a hem in the legal system. Anything the supreme Court does is opinion. Every judges ruling is a legal opinion. And we can say every ruling that a judge gives is prejudicial. We're the rulings against Trump prejudicial in your eyes?

Legal opinions should be evidence based. Too often they are not when dealing with politics or political figures. Mueller found no collaboration or collusion between Trump and Russia. He did have what he thought might be evidence that Trump obstructed. The AG is responsible to look at the evidence and decide whether an investigation should take place.
