In general, if you feel guilty doing it, it's a sin even if there's nothing wrong with it. You might want to examine why there is guilt or similar feelings.

Possibly true, but on the other hand, the devil seems to like to inflict us with feelings of guilt for his purposes. So I would add that to test whether the "guilt" is a conviction of the Holy Spirit or if it is coming from elsewhere, determine if the feelings/responses are helping to actually draw you closer to God or attempting to separate you from God due to shame, despair, etc.

How does playing it affect your relationship with God? Are you putting the game first or him first? These are questions you need to answer before you can determine if it is okay. In general, it is okay to play games, but there are people who play to the point of being addicted and they neglect their responsibilities, or other people who when they play have a difficult time distinguishing between the game and reality. The same answer cannot apply to everyone as the things we do affect us all in different ways.

Most games are sinful, for different reasons, hardly ever, if ever, revealed on forums.

They all are deceptive, by origin, and by nature. (the flesh)

Not as long as you defeat your enemies with love.

We all once were Jesus' enemies. He did not defeat us, though He could have easily, with a word.

Instead, He redeemed Ekklesia through His Blood and death on a cross, Christ Crucified.

Redemption, not elimination, is the message for believers , the LIGHT to show the world.

If anyone spends time in entertainment/ watching it or participating in it, not in the Kingdom of Yahuweh(God),
then
perhaps as written "our Yahuweh (the Creator) IS JEALOUS...."

Take the world of Skyrim for example, it's a world in turmoil, and for good reason, if you knew anything about the story, and we like it because we feel our world is a world in turmoil also, and we find a lot of parallels, and there are a lot of questionable decisions in that game, same as here, and it is kind of set in a more middle-ages time, there is bad and evil out there in it, a lot of places in it, and you have to decide what your going to do about it or with it, I try to be as good as I can, but kill evil in it in all it's forms... I make the best decisions I can with what I'm presented with at the time, and I don't look back a lot of the time...

But the game does not make it easy by any means...

Some people will save their game, or create multiple save files or characters, and try out many different paths you can take in it, like seeing what a bad character or playing a bad character would be like, ect, or choosing differently in it, and i may do that a little bit, the choosing a bit differently part sometimes, but I do not hardly ever choose or get curious to see what it would be like to purposely be or create a bad or evil character on purpose ever, or something like that, most usually... Or make any totally evil decisions, or whatever, that are sometimes presented to you, ect...

God Bless!

The name Skyrim is copied off. The norse giant "Skrymir". Giant of Illusion. "Hall of the Mountain King"...

There is no Good or Evil in the Norse mythology, or in Skyrim. But as an unstable Panentheistic mythology, it must collapse in Ragnarok. Twilight of the Idols.

Oh no, totally true, it's an underlying concept of the faith, in Romans 14 the reason for this is given that "anything that does not come from faith is sin"

If we begin new life with faith and trust, then let us also live by faith.

I understand what you're referring to, but it doesn't negate a foundation of the kingdom. When all is vanished, faith hope and love will remain, and the greatest is love. but the other two matter as well, since they too will remain.

I'm just not willing to say that "guilt" and "conviction of the Spirit" are the same things because I don't believe them to be the same, and the devil likes to play on feelings of guilt for very wrong reasons, particularly when those guilty feelings cause a person to flee *from* God, which is what the devil wants us to do. The Holy Spirit will use conviction to draw a person *closer*.

Yeah, I don't like human manipulation either. I think another concept that may help explain what I was getting at is:

1Jo 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.

In this part of the maturity paradigm, the only thing that matters is faith that works through love, so faith is foundational.
