You would probably better appreciate how Paul's words apply when seeing them in action. It is not about forcefully imposing one's will on another, it is simply respecting the Scriptural authority structure in the church.
Nice assumption, but it missed the mark. I am likely in a far better position to appreciate Paul's words here seeing as I actually lead a church and live this out daily. In fact I can actually relate to what Paul is trying to do in both of these scriptures on a whole different level than those who have never lead a church or ministry.

My comment pertained to the Anglican church in the context of church governance ... nothing to do with anyone's integrity.
I am opposed to the inclusion of women in the clergy on Biblical grounds. I can understand why you would be defensive but suggest you try not to personalize the debate because of your position.

The best pastor my church ever had was female.

Of course, those who oppose the ordination of women should not join churches that do so.

Sometimes (or more often?) a church has one really bad pastor after another, ongoing.

The "least bad" would be the best, even in that case, right ? They all might be obedient to
Scripture, "mostly", or all might be disobedient, "mostly"; all need to be tested

before being accepted and believed, as written the Berean's did.

Yes, but our female pastor was one of the many excellent pastors that my church has had. All have been obedient to scripture.

BTW, over the past fifty-four years my church has had six pastors. The first pastor was before my time so I cannot comment on him. The second wasn't there terribly long plus I was very young, so I also cannot comment of him. All the rest have been excellent. BTW, these numbers do not include the interims we had between pastors, all but one of whom were there for relatively short periods (the other was there for about a year).
