Hi This is my first attempt at something resembling Eastern Orthodox religious art. I figured the subject would appeal to Orthodox, because of the Cappadocia connection, Anglicans, because George is the Patron Saint of England, and Evangelical Game of Thrones fans, because of the dragon. :) I tried to stick to the EO Iconography conventions per my limited understanding, but the head is only the size of a quarter and I couldn't manage the detail in the face. I sort of tranced out on chanting monk music and painted it in a few hours, borrowing aspects from different paintings of the same subject, so it's looser and more sketchy than I was aiming for, but I think it works? Thanks to ambassador @~Anastasia~ for patiently tolerating all my inane questions and concerns.

That is a fairly traditional motif. As an aside may I recommend an English style pub, the St George Arms, in St George Ontario (where else?). I have never seen a dragon but that is likely because my dogs chase them off.

I like it! I see slight resemblance to a more traditional icon, but also your own personalized flavour. I will just point out that the bodily features, particularly the face and head, are intentionally exaggerated in iconography as if to show the figure is close to God.

Thanks for the tip on the face. After five failed attempts I almost just substituted helmet armor to cover it up. Ill have a try at correcting the face another time. It's not so scratchy looking IRL.
