Overview of the current situation between Israel / Gaza:

After being 36 hours in, attacks on both sides have yet to cease. This is starting to spiral out of control.
Unprecedented rocket barrages being fired at Israel; property damage and injuries being reported to Israeli citizens.
Iron dome defense batteries are being set up in Jerusalem.
The cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod are being peppered with rockets right now, and the range of the attacks by the factions is starting to increase.
Israel has begun assasinating Hamas leaders. Hamas is retaliating with escalated attacks. The IDF (Israeli Defense Force) is instructed to take out terrorists that come up for air from underground tunnels.
Hamas is calling for a ceasefire, which they always do after starting skirmishes with Israel. Could also be more attempted confusion by the faction which they are well-versed in.
This is expected to continue past Israel's independence day this week. Ramadan has already started.
A 5-hours security cabinet meeting has just ended; Israel is preparing for the "next stages".
The IDF are also carrying out strikes against the homes of terrorist leaders, as well as targeting rocket launching squads.
Guided missiles are being used by the factions to target Israeli soldiers and infrustructure.
Attacks on Tel Aviv are expected; bomb shelters are opening in the city.
First day of Eurovision events were canceled.
Over 650 rockets fired so far at Israeli cities and towns.
Supposedly, Israel is getting ready to invade Gaza and launch a ground operation. This could get much worse.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday commented on reports of an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal in Gaza, after two days of fighting in which four Israelis were killed, saying that Israel was readying for further confrontations with terrorist groups in the coastal enclave.

Moments before Israel was about to launch an operation into Gaza, Israel agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with Hamas. Although, neither side expects for it to hold, and tensions are high ever since the escalation last weekend. Fighting is expected to flare up again in days or weeks, possibly even by this weekend as the funds Israel agreed to for Gaza will not be delivered after all. Hamas has given Israel until tomorrow to implement the agreements. If fighting does resume, Hamas claims they'll continue off from before - by targeting Tel Aviv. Israel will also resume assassinating Hamas leaders.

Looks like Israel is striking Damascus at this very moment. Unusual air activity was reported by Israel in recent days, as well as numerous mock raids in Lebanon. Watching this closely to see what happens. When the 70 year generation prophecy truly begins and ends is subject to debate, as is the true calendar God is using. But this prophecy is true and will be fulfilled. With everything going on lately, the birth pangs seem to be getting more frequent and intense as well.

Right now we're on the verge of war with Iran and Iran's proxies (who threatened to attack Israel in response to any attacks on them), the GNB / Iran / Russia / China / Cuba in Venezuela, a trade war with China and a literal war with China in the south China sea. Israel and Iran (along with their proxy grounds in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, etc.) are also on the verge of war. The "deal of the century" will be making its debut next month as well.

Definitely a time to watch closely and ensure your right standing with God.

They may have. But there's no reason for prophesies not to have a minor fulfillment in the past (as a foreshadow of a future event), and an ultimate fulfillment later on (or even multiple fulfillments). This could also be why Jesus refers to events that occurred on Hanukkah as future, reoccurring events in Matthew 24 (i.e. fleeing when seeing the abomination that causes desolation, and not going back into their house to grab their belongings - both of which occurred on Hanukkah before Jesus' advent). The Great Tribulation is also described as being similar to how it was in the days of Noah.

Also, a picture of Daniel 9:27 occurred recently, as a shadow of its future fulfillment, so we know there's precedence for prophesies having foreshadowing events. The Nobel peace prize for Obama was announced on October 9, 2009 (symbolic of the peace agreement). Then 1260 days later on March 22, 2013, he stood in the Church of the Nativity in Israel, one of the holiest sites for Christianity, which caused the Passover sacrifice to be cancelled that year for his visit (symbolic of the abomination of desolation and the anti-Christ standing where he "ought not"). 1290 days later falls on October 3, 2016, the Jewish Feast of Trumpets - a day believed to be tied to Jesus' 2nd coming and not yet fulfilled by Christ, like the four other feast days were.

So if it's possible for this prophecy to have a minor fulfillment as a foreshadow, then an ultimate fulfillment later on, why is it also impossible for other prophecies to have the same?

Jesus also claims that the end will not come until the gospel has been preached throughout the whole world (Matthew 24:14), and that wasn't fulfilled in 70 a.d. It wasn't until recent years that that prophecy could be fulfilled and has been (thanks to the internet and ability to easily travel to various countries).

A lot of interesting events taking place lately, as we enter true Pentecost this weekend (whenisthenewmoon.com). Tensions are escalating between the U.S., Iran, Russia and China, as well as between Israel and Iran / Syria / Gaza. Major protests are erupting worldwide, now taking place in Sudan and Hong Kong. Tornadoes are ransacking the plain states and southern portion of the U.S., large earthquakes are taking place in various locations (as a swarm hitting southern California has residents there very concerned), and the world is facing a global food crisis. Multiple incidents are taking place in aviation like we've never seen before. Numerous, strange outage spikes have been reported over the past few days, regarding various online sites and services (Target is now reporting issues today - downdetector.com). Crime, mass shootings and stabbings (almost on a daily basis), corruption, rebellion, etc. running rampant now, reminiscent of the days of Noah and Lot (even more so in this month of pride - Proverbs 16:18). Attacks against Christians is nearing genocidal levels worldwide: Christians are 'most persecuted group'

In addition to all of this occurring, we are nearing the unveiling of the U.S. peace plan. On May 19th 2019, the U.S. announced it would release the economic portion of the peace plan in Bahrain. Interestingly enough, 24 hours after this announcement, tornadoes began striking the Midwestern portion of the country (including threatening our nation's capital, iirc). The Bible says that when people are saying "peace and security", that sudden destruction comes upon them (1 Thessalonians 5:3). Supposedly, "security" in this verse can also be interpreted as "economic security". If so, it would make sense why an economic portion of this peace plan is about to be unveiled, while a regional peace portion will be unveiled as well later (perhaps around the time of the snap elections). Now is not a time to get ready, but to be ready. Major events could unfold at any moment.

Quite the birth pang lately. We're dangerously close to war with Iran, which could break out at any moment. Dominoes are stacked up around the globe, and this situation could easily set everything off. If Iran is attacked (which I'm sure is what they want), they will retaliate against Israel. Tensions between many countries are high; protests are erupting all over the place; earthquakes are increasing in intensity, frequency and diversity; and we're nearing the unveiling of part of the peace plan next week - not to mention the European Union is now getting on board.
