Because for some conservatives, finding out basic facts of reality is groundbreaking when the rest of us take it for granted. Kind of like learning that taxes aren't just as simple as X% of Y; or knowing what the word satire is, let alone telling the difference.

We should be applauding at least the minimum amount progress, however Iittle it may be.

Then why aren't they? I don't see Democratic politicians trying to legislatively put the NRA out of business (although the NRA's internal politics and finances may do that).

You're wrong about that. Planned Parenthood actually saves lives by providing cancer screenings, STD treatments and birth control. NRA promotes gun ownership which is questionable in saving lives especially with all the mass shootings going on.

Drop in the bucket compared to the Koch Brothers donations to Republicans to promote policies which threaten the planet we live on. So many living species have perished already--will the 7.1 million of us be next? Or maybe the slow deaths Koch policies promote--the deaths in the factory towns from their chemical dumping, or the worldwide starvation and sickness from the misplaced fiscal priorities they promote.

Your god genocidally almost wiped out all life on earth once. He says he does not change so I fail to see how you can argue he wouldn’t do this again. Especially since he only promised to not do with a flood again.

Those of us who don’t believe in your god aren’t going to sit on our hands waiting for divine intervention. Those of us who believe their god has called them to be good stewards of this planet aren’t going to sit around either.

Yes, we’ll all be going to a hot place because that’s going to be the earth in a few decades unless we start to curb our carbon emissions. I know you are probably planning to be dead by then but don’t you have younger relatives that will probably still be alive? Don’t you care about what environment they are going to have to live in?
