Yes..... the fulfillment of
Ezekiel 47
holds the key to ushering in the Era of Moshiach where lions will actually eat straw like an ox.

I quoted your brilliant post over here:

Should Christians support Rebuilding of Jerusalem Third Temple.

Isaiah 11
7 The cow and the bear shall graze;
their young shall lie down together;
and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

Isaiah 35
9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

How will the lion eat straw like the ox if no lion shall be there?
How will the bear graze if no ravenous beast shall be found there?

In the eleventh chapter there is also no lion. "Lion" is Judaism. "Straw" is the restored religion in the Third Temple according to the prophecy of Ezekiel. Such Judaism is a peaceful "beast". The lion of Judaism will eat the "straw" of a religious ritual. "Snake" is also not a snake, but wisdom. The child is the born unity of the saints, the city of Yahwe Shammah.

The peaceful coexistence of Christians and Jews in future Israel, according to Ezekiel.

Dispensational literalists would disagree with the metaphorization of Isaiah's declarations.

If the lion is Judaism, then according to Isaiah 35:9, no Judaism will be there.

I guess no one is immune to the spiritualization of specific literal prophecy to make it fit their paradigm.

Personally.... I believe in BOTH a literal as well as a metaphorical fulfillment of scriptures.

I agree that Christianity and Judaism will both be transformed by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on ALL FLESH!

Reverend Howard Storm's Near-Death Experience

Howard Storm's light being friends told him more about the new world to come. According to them, God wished to usher in the kingdom within the next two hundred years. In order to do so, God had rescinded some of the free will given to creatures, in favor of more divine control over human events. This new world order, according to Howard, will resemble some near-death descriptions of heaven. People will live in such peace and harmony and love that communication will be telepathic, travel instantaneous and the need for clothing and shelter eliminated. The lion will indeed lie down with the lamb.

Scripture for that?

And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.

2 And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

3 And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears; 4 but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his waist, and faithfulness the girdle of his loins.

6 And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

10 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that standeth for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious.

Ezekiel 11:19

If the tradition is correct that there was a replica made of the Ark of the Covenant........
then......
the possibility of both a Temple Mount Jerusalem Third Temple as well as an Ezekiel Temple complex becomes a possibility.........

Could the metaphorical earthquake that divides Israel be Israelis divided over which temple is the best one to build first???? Later on.... I do believe that there will be a literal earthquake.... but for now... this is an intriguing possibility.

The Ezekiel Temple option.... would anger the Muslims much less because it would be no where near the TEmple Mount!

In a September 1935, article in the National Geographic magazine, L. Roberts recorded his interviews with various priests in different parts of Ethiopia who consistently told the same story. They recounted that the Queen of Sheba had visited King Solomon and had had "a child", Menelik I. Solomon educated the lad in Jerusalem until he was nineteen years old. The boy then returned to Ethiopia with a large group of Jews, taking with him the true Ark of the Covenant.
......
The Ethiopian official national epic known as the Glory of the Kings (Kebra-Nagasi) contains an amazing story which offers an explanation of what happened to the Ark of the Covenant. In addition, there are several Ethiopian murals which tell how the Ark and the Tablets of the Law were taken to Ethiopia for safekeeping by Prince Menelik I. ..... The Queen of Sheba, his mother, had died and the prince prepared to leave Jerusalem to return twenty-five hundred miles to his native country to become its king.

Prince Menelik bore an uncanny resemblance in beauty and regal bearing to his father. King Solomon wanted to give him a replica of the Ark to take with him to Ethiopia because the long distance would prevent him from ever again worshipping at the temple in Jerusalem.

However Prince Menelik was concerned with the growing apostasy of Israel and the fact that his father, Solomon was now allowing idols to be placed in the Temple to please his pagan wives. King Solomon gave the prince a going-away banquet and after the priests were filled with wine, Menelik and his loyal associates switched arks and left the replica in its place in the Holy of Holies.// (Grant Jeffrey, [page 115, Armageddon, Appointment with Destiny).

Please notice the words "all flesh" both in
Acts 2
as well as in Joel 2.

For more than 2,000 years to this moment there has been no Judaism, only Babylonian Talmudism, for whose practitioners Christ reserved His choicest denunciations, virtually the entirety of Matthew 23, e.g.:

Matthew 23:33
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

There will be no transformation of a Judaism which does not exist.

Nor of a Christianity which needs no transformation:

Jude 3 NASB
Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.

I am convinced that the answer to this question is ....... yes!

But it is pretty amazing how divided we Christians are on this topic so far.

Should Christians support Rebuilding of Jerusalem Third Temple.

Grant R. Jeffrey Ph. D. made some fascinating comments on the relationship between the Messianic Jewish community of the first century.......... until the destruction of the Temple...... and he compared what happened then with what will happen when Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48 are finally fulfilled in the millennium.

Jesus... AKA God incarnate is the True temple of God.

The “3rd” temple may or may not happen... but it would still be lesser than the True Temple of God. The third temple would metaphorically be “Making Ismael”.

Revelation even spells this out. Revelation 21:22

Praise Jesus that you understand Zechariah 14!

Christ Bless you!

Great post!
Jesus would also have to bring down the Ark of the Covenant, as it is shown in the Sanctuary in heaven in Revelation 11:19

YLT)
2Ch 5:7
And the priests bring in the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah unto its place, unto the oracle of the house, unto the holy of holies, unto the place of the wings of the cherubs;

Jer 3:16
“Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days,” says the LORD, “that they will say no more, ‘The Ark of the Covenant of the LORD.'
It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.

Rev 11:19
And opened was the Sanctuary of God in the heaven, and there was seen the Ark of His Covenant in His Sanctuary, and there did come lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

New House New Stones
John in the Tabernacle on Patmos

Revelation 1:
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud Voice, as of a trumpet,
12 Then I turned<1994> to see the Voice that spoke with me.
And having turned<1994> I saw seven golden Lampstands<3087>,
13 and in the midst of the seven Lampstands [One] like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the paps with a golden band.

I can vision John standing inside the holy place of a Tabernacle. [John would probably be a Hebrew Jew and perhaps even of a priestly class].
While he is standing there, he hears a Voice BEHIND him.
He TURNS and sees Jesus in midst of lamp-stands. ["turn" can also mean convert]

Symbolically, [this is just my view], John would have been facing the OC Table of Showbread. ..North.
The Altar and inner curtain would have been on his left...West
Then be turns, facing Jesus and the lamp-stands...South
The outer veil/entrance would then be on his left .....East

In essence, John is first facing the Table of OC Show-bread
and when he turns, he sees the NC "Living Bread", Jesus

1. gate/first veil/curtain East side Judah Issachar Zebulun
2. the Lampstand South Side Simeon, Gad, Reuben
3. the Golden Incense Altar West side Ephraim, Benjamin, Manasseh
4. the Showbread Table North side Dan, Napthali, Asher

The building of a third temple is entirely a Jewish matter - The Jews that have not accepted Christ are those that want the third temple.
Yeah I can go along with that.
But I don't, because the new Temple will be built by the Lord's faithful Christian people, who will occupy all of the holy land soon after the Lord's day of wrath, the Sixth Seal has cleared that entire area.
They- WE; will build the new Temple, Zechariah 1:16, Haggai 2:7-9, + and we will make thank offerings to God in it. Jeremiah 33:11 & 18, Isaiah 56:6-7, Ezekiel 46:4-7, + and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 and Revelation 11:1 make it quite clear that will be a Temple in Jerusalem before Jesus Returns.

Why deny these truths?
If they don't suit your beliefs, then look to what you have been taught; don't just parrot ideas that fail the scripture proof test.
Seriously? Almost 2 billion Christians [as of 2011] is a lot people to occupy a practically desolated land after the Lord's wrath...........

Christian population growth - Wikipedia

Christian population growth is the population growth of the global Christian community. According to a 2011 Pew Research Center survey, there were 2.19 billion Christians around the world in 2010, more than three times as many as the 600 million recorded in 1910. However, this rate of growth is slower than the overall population growth over the same time period.[1] According to a 2015 Pew Research Center study, by 2050, the Christian population is expected to be 3.0 billion.[2]
The next temple to be built in Jerusalem will be built by the orthodox unbelieving Jews, as they already have the materials and plan on starting up the old covenant worship again. They still reject Jesus Christ as Messiah. They're still waiting on Messiah's first and only coming (they think). Yet God is going to send them an imposter at the very end of this present world before Jesus comes.
That seems about right.......

If this thread is going to bring up Zechariah, then Zechariah 4 very specifically says the temple--meaning the SECOND temple--will be built "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts" (Zech. 4:6).

1948 Israel, we see the exact opposite. They are all about running out the evil heathens with police, military, and shiny new F-16's "loaned" to them by the United States.

What criteria do you use to denote a Christian?
Just those who tick the 'Christian' box, or those who truly follow Jesus and keep all His Commandments?

I have a list of about 20 prophesies that say how the Lord will regenerate all of the holy Land, soon after His Day of fiery wrath has cleared and cleansed it. Deuteronomy 32:34-43, Ezekiel 36:8, +
Those who will occupy all that area from the Nile to the Euphrates, will be a big number; all the faithful Christians, all who stood firm in their faith during that terrible Day and who called out to Him for their protection. Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21

There's the operative word: will. Whenever I hear the word "will" in the context of what the OT prophets wrote, almost invariably that comes out of a lack of knowing Israel's history. It's like quoting a pre-exilic prophet to show that Israel will be restored in 1948.

I know Israel's history very well, having studied the Bible and read many books on that subject.
What is prophesied regarding the holy Land regeneration, will happen soon after the Lord has cleared and cleansed the entire Middle East region, by His Day of fiery wrath.
The prophesies about this are quite clear, the Lord will send rain and the Land will bud and blossom. Ezekiel 36:8, Amos 9:13-15, Joel 2:21-24, Isaiah 35:1-10, Isaiah 29:17, +

(The question was asked if a literal Ezekiel temple mount complex would be a step backwards for Messiah Yeshua - Jesus).... I replied:

Basically.... Messiah Yeshua - Jesus has made covenants.......
multiple covenants that remain in force in effect and
in his mind..... do not contradict or negate each other.

We humans find ourselves almost incapable of understanding how
Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in his glorified resurrected form can handle all that
..... but to me it is obvious that He can!

There is an Adamic covenant....
there is a Mosaic covenant
there is a Noahaic covenant (pardon my spelling please)
there is a covenant with each of the twelve patriarch partly explained in Genesis 48
and Genesis 49 if I remember correctly.......

There are covenants with Abraham....
Isaac/ Yitzhak and Jacob/ Yakob.....

The covenants with David and with Levi were specified as being eternal.....

but I believe that once the Word / Logos makes a covenant.....
even one that is not necessarily recorded in scriptures.....
that covenant / agreement remains in force and effect even if you or I know nothing about..... due to it being above our Security Clearance Level and pay scale.......!

Luke 24:25 "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

Jeremiah 33
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is [the name] whereby she shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

17 For thus saith Jehovah: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; 18 neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt-offerings, and to burn meal-offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

19 And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, saying, 20 Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; 21 then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

23 And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying, 24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah did choose, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25 Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night [stand] not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; 26 then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.

Whom the heavens must receive until the restitution of all things?
