Where does it say that each person should look at the Bible an figure out things for themselves?

...that's not what Scripture alone means.

What is frightening about those who oppose it, and treat the authority and tradition of the church as an equal appeal, often (if not always) lack real personal discernment. I'm not just talking about doctrinal matters, but whatever goes against reason and conscience. It is the same system of tyranny that exists in other faiths (Mormonism, Islam, etc), and in practice has done much to damage the good name of Christ.

Who said we need the Bible alone? Where in the Bible does it say "invite Jesus into your heart"? Where does it say to obsess about the end times? Where does it say that each person should look at the Bible an figure out things for themselves?

I do think there is an unmentioned ulterior motive to your question and maybe we can help with that if you let us in on what exactly that is. Aside from that, I'm assuming you didn't understand some things, but It's going to be impossible to reason with/help you, until you answer questions posed.

I understand quite easily. I just get sick and tried of all the disparaging post against Tradition and by extension Traditional Liturgical Christian as f there is something wrong with those of us that desire to practice Christianity that has been done since Ancient times. The way this place makes it sound it that the Bible alone is the best thing since slice bread. I happen to think that the reformed and evangelicals are wrong but I do not start threads saying things like "Can the Church live without evangelicals" which could get me banned but it is okay if it happens the other way around
