Sorry mmksparbud, but this statement is fabulously false. Your attempt to put our beliefs into your own words and twist it to look as bad as possible is not a good way to have a discussion, either with us or other non-Mormons.

Let me tell you what happens often. You tell a non-Mormon these things, thinking you will scare them away from the Church of Jesus Christ, and many will be scared away, but there are a few, when they hear such nonsense, that they will actually allow missionaries into their homes to get to the bottom of it, and when they hear the whole truth, they join the church.

And it all happened because you told them such a fairy tale about what you think we believe. So maybe I should say, keep up the good work.

Unfortunately, there have been such men in the church. But it is not going to go well for them in the resurrection, when their wives and children testify against his tyranny. No man in this Church can obtain the highest degree of celestial glory without a worthy woman who is sealed to him.14 This temple ordinance enables eventual exaltation for both of them.

Do you believe that parenting is somehow beneath a person's dignity, or that it is not rewarding? The first commandment given to Adam and Eve was to multiply and replenish the earth. The Bible states:

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

God's main role is Father. Parenting is what He does.

I know you would like a simple yes or no answer, however you assume that a man and a woman are separate in the Lord, but they aren't:
(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 11:8 - 12)

8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

Man and woman both rule together.
