Lust is wrong, "psychic powers" are essentially coming from the influence or help of unclean spirits, and craving power like that is prideful and damaging.

Well the idea of telekinesis to strip a girl's clothes off is likely prohibited by Jesus's teaching against looking on a woman to lust after her.

Bible or not, the whole thing sounds idiotic, and I wouldn't even waste my time taking it seriously.

Tell him to Google the terms "red herring" and "Logical fallacy". Then tell him to Google "Can you hide your sin from God?"

Then tell him to grow up...

This is wrong on so many levels. Using the argument that the psychic power is not specifically condemned is overlooking the main issue.

Jonathan is planning to spend his time thinking about women's clothing being removed, in other words he is mentally undressing them. If he doesn't know that that is lustful and disrespectful, then he needs to start with the basics of Christianity. Love for neighbor does not include an allowance for lust, whether it is in the mind or acted out physically.

I pray for Jonathan that he will learn how to develop friendly and respectful relationships with all, including attractive young women. If there are thoughts of a more intimate relationship, I hope he will learn to proceed cautiously and create the foundation for a lifetime of sharing.

Yes, this is generally true. Even if people don't realize it, trying to acquire these kinds of abilities will put souls in contact with demonic forces, harm the soul, and lead us away from Christ.

Many scoff, but my poor father was into this. Heavily. Towards the end of his life, he began to both acquire some of these abilities, while simultaneously having outbursts and less control over his temper. He died, weirdly and suddenly, at 42. God have mercy on him. He meant well, but had no idea what he was doing.

Please, tell your cousin to knock it off, grow up, focus on Christ, and worry about going Hell more than acquiring idiotic powers.

How do you develop telekinesis? Watching tutorial videos on Youtube? I'm telling you, our culture is damaging the mental state of our generation.
