"No one knows the hour or the day..." Notice that sentence does not say "No one know the month or the year." Many have come up with differing dates for when this present age will end.
Now there is a perspective with a geological, scientific, twist. First, remember that we are told that an earthquake occurred at the crucifixion. Is there any way geologists can tell when that was? Well, it seems so.
Quake Reveals Day of Jesus' Crucifixion
Their best guess is April 3, 33 A.D. based on their examination of the earth in Jerusalem. April 3 would have been at the time of the Passover.
Now does that not mean that Messiah will return on His crucifixion day on 2033? His return may be perhaps correlated with His ascension, not resurrection. Mho - based on my research and an understanding of how the ages of the Bible are pretty much divided into 1,000 and 2,000 year periods. This Biblical division of time is one reason many feel sure these are the last days. You see, calculating the ages of the patriarchs, starting with Adam (and using other clear Biblical time markers) we have had 6,000 years, almost, of time to pass. The Millennial year of peace, ushered in after Messiah returns, would be at the Sabbath, or 7th, 1,000 year period.
The main thing is, whenever He returns, that we be found to be alive in Him.
