I'm just curious really, have you explored the Casino market that Trump was a part of? That's not a taunt, I'm being serious. I happened upon an article about that, apparently they built these ungodly expensive casinos and wanted to make sure there were no degenerate gamblers or criminal elements involved.

Donald doesn't have that excuse... his mob connections are well-known.

But the entire labor market has been improving for ~9-10 years now and the lower end of the market would've tightened up with or without Trump's moves.
That is not true. Obama's failed economy never got above 2% GDP. Trump was laughed to scorn when he said that under his plan it would get up to 4%. CNN, MSNBC and everyone else in the alphapet soup of the liberal media couldn't contain their derision. But it has happened.

Obama said that Trump's pledge to bring back all of these manufacturing jobs was impossible. The media said would not happen. Obama said Trump needed a magic wand to make it happen.

But it happened and suddenly Obama and Co. want to take credit for a booming economy THEY said would never happen. They want credit for what they said was impossible. THEY said that high unemployment and a sluggish 2% was the "new normal" and we should just get used to that. They had no economic boom to point to.

Trump unleashed the private sector and suddenly everything that Obama and his little cronies mockingly said could not happen, did. They deserve NO credit.

But seriously, do you know that the fact that Trump lost a billion 20 years ago is not new information. Heck, he even wrote a book about it. Its called "the art of the comeback". Google it! This is old news that the liberal media has dug up for what? To manipulate and divide because the muller report was an epic failure to get him impeached.

Trump: The Art of the Comeback - Wikipedia
The obstruction issue is still not resolved, I suspect you underestimate something like this and how it effect politics.

For the record. I called it over a month ago when everyone was drooling over the release of the Muller report. I specifically said that if the report showed Trump to be innocent of collusion, they would focus on obstruction. I then said that if obstruction wasn't going anywhere, they would go after their tax returns. I called it because it is predictable. Predictable because the investigation was never about finding truth and all about finding whatever dirt they could to impeach the president. The left will not be satisfied unless Trump is removed from office. My next prediction is that Trump's tax returns are going to be released and after much scrutiny they will find some error from way back when and scream "TAX EVASION". Like any competent business man wouldn't try to use whatever loopholes they could to save money. BTW, whatever happened to the tax information for the Clinton Foundation?

The report specifically didn't speak to "collusion". It's not a legal term. The "no collusion" claim by Trump and Barr is false.

Moreover, the reason people are "focusing on obstruction" is because there is ample evidence that Trump had multiple acts that constituted obstruction of justice.

100% of that is because of Trump. Because he removed so much economic regulations my wife was able to finally get a job that 8 years of Obama couldn't accomplish.
Edit: And by the way, Yes, the owner of the company specifically told my wife that the only reason why he was able to hire her was because the Trump tax reforms. So thank you Trump! These are the things that the American people actually care about, not Trump's tax returns from 20 years ago. Honestly, if you have time to complain about that, you really don't have much to complain about.

At best this is anecdotal evidence. It doesn't sound particularly plausible, either.

I remember the Art of the Deal and how he blew up those cement Eagles to lay ground for the Trump Towers. The book says most of the units rented were by Italian descent buyers, the negative publicity really spurred that. Now if he is connected to the mob I don't know, but one looks at that and goes hmmmmm. His favorite bank, Deutsche Bank is the haunt of many a Russian oligarch and he is very friendly toward Putin, one looks at that and thinks...I don't know...any connection maybe? When you look into these financial dealings there are a lot of things that give one pause. What gets me is how he went after so many prosecutors and Law enforcement officials, was that the swamp he wanted to drain, because I thought he was talking about lobbyists.

No one really has a road map for this but all roads will go back to New York, that much I'm sure of.

Trump removed regulations which has allowed companies to externalize their cost. They have increased profits while generating additional pollution. There is a hidden cost in that pollution that we will all pay later.

The GDP didn't have an annual increase of 4%. I'm not sure where you're getting your claim, but it's false. It didn't finish at 3% last year.

"The U.S. economy grew 2.9 percent in 2018, a strong rate that fell short of the Trump administration’s goal for yearly gross domestic product (GDP) growth."

US economy grew 2.9 percent in 2018, just below Trump's goal

In 2018, we also had the first year of a negative stock market since 2008 (under Bush) with Trump's presidencies. I had my worst 401 return in a decade.

Moreover, in Trump's economy, despite the boom, he has allowed the deficit to increase more. The self proclaimed "king of debt" has done nothing but increase the debt of the US, and kick the can further down the road.

I don't think anyone ever said that the Russians didn't try to interfere with the election.
Trump stood up in public in Helsinki next to Putin and flat-out denied it with the whole world as witness. He still denies it.

They did increase profits and that's a good thing. And any pollution we have in the US is far, far lower than anywhere else in the world and many companies have policies to fight pollution.

The GDP did reach 4.1% in one quarter which the Leftist said could not happen. I never said anything about an annual increase. But the economy is hot and it hotter than it ever was under Obummer.

It is still a far, far better economy than we had for eight years under Obama.

No, he didn't. The "Russia Hoax" he was speaking about had to do with the hoax that he colluded with Russia to steal the election. He never said that Russia didn't try to interfere with our elections. He was not calling their interference a hoax. He called the Russia collusion claims a hoax.

You've got it backwards... in all fairness, so does Donald.

Donald was a joke and a loser before he was elected president... the sad little man struggling to maintain the big time illusion.

Clearly he thought his election would elevate his status... he thought wrong. It's not the Office that brings you dignity; it's your responsibility to maintain the dignity of the Office.

Being a joke and a loser, he has, of course, failed.
That is false. He was the darling of the media, the political establishment and the entertainment industry. They invited him to their parties and they always wanted to be at his parties. The very politicians that are smearing him today, were for years, knocking at Trump's door for campaign donations. They had nothing but praise for Trump before he ran for president.

If we are talking about quarterly GDP then you are wrong about Obama. He had several quarters above 2% GDP. In fact he had three quarters above 4% GDP topping out with a 5.1% in Q2 of 2014 followed by a 4.9% the next quarter.

No, he has done a lot of things wrong. I never said that. What I am defending him against is the unfair, irrational double standards that people like you erect to smear him. Everyone knows what he means by "Russia hoax." The problem is that you can't admit that fact.

In the eyes of people like you, Trump is always wrong, no matter what. And if he is right, he is wrong for being right. It's that kind of irrational mindset that characterizes most of the critics on this board, that I am addressing.

The criticisms leveled against Trump are often over the top and unevenly applied. It's like the tax return issue. Trump is doing what every other billionaire does, but when Trump does it, it is wrong.

No one said we couldn't have a 4% GDP increase in a particular quarter. There were multiple quarters under Obama that were above 4% and even above 5%. (Q3, 2014 was 5.1%). You are either misunderstanding or misrepresenting the claims made by Trump and his critics.

U.S.: real GDP growth by quarter 2011-2018 | Statista

The economy is generally along the same trajectory it was under Obama. Under Obama, we pulled out from the worst recession in half a century that started under George W. Bush.

You keep making grand, false claims in the style of Trump " any pollution we have in the US is far, far lower than anywhere else in the world". It's not even remotely true.

Yeah, that is a lie. The Obama economy never got above 2% GDP. And he and his cronies said it would never get that high under Trump and mocked him for it. But it happened.

They said he would not get elected, had no chance. He won. They said that he could not bring jobs back. He did. They said that we would never see 4% GDP. We did. They said he colluded with Russia. Proven now that he didn't. They said he would get us into war with North Korea. He didn't. The Trump critics in the media and political establishment keep getting it wrong. People like you keep putting up false accusations. You're always wrong and always will be.

It is like the tax return issue. Every President in the last 40 years has submitted theirs. Trump promised to release his tax returns after they were elected. Not only has Trump not done so, but he's fighting tooth and nail to prevent their disclosure to Congress.

Trump has defied all of the norms of the office of Presidency, and he and his supporters act shocked each time he's called out on it.

Yes they did. And the laughed him to scorn over claiming that we could see 4% GDP. Not only did they say it would never happen, they said he needed a magic wand to bring back all those jobs. And lo and behold, everything they said could not happen, did.

Now, they want to take credit for what they said was impossible.

Please, cite your evidence. Why would they claim he couldn't get a quarterly GDP increase of 4% when that happened numerous times under Obama?
