Brothers and sisters, the reason why God ends each day in Genesis with the passage of an evening and a morning is because He stopped creating during this period of the night and has nothing to report, whereas before, during the period of the morning to evening, He had a lot to report about His creation during the first 12 hours of the day. The reason why this is important is because it reveals Jesus did not resurrect on Sunday, He resurrected in Israel Saturday night during the 12 hours after the Sabbath and before Sunday.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” (John 20:1-2 NIV)

God has eliminated the deception of linking the resurrection of Jesus with the Sunday tradition inherited from the Roman apostate church that replaces the true Sabbath of God. The true Sabbath made holy in the time zone of Eden and that is why Israel remembers to keep the Sabbath holy by starting 12 hours before its seventh local day of the week. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge

Or.... if his resurrection was exactly seventy two hours from the time of his burial......... and if the First Day of Unleavened Bread was on a Thursday that week....... and if the crucifixion was on a Wednesday........ then maybe he was resurrected exactly seventy two hours from a late Wednesday afternoon or early evening (before the annual High Sabbath)....... on Thursday.........

so maybe the women who made spices did not work on the spices on Thursday because it was a high Sabbath.......

then maybe the prepared the spices for his burial on Friday the sixth day.........

then maybe the rested on the weekly Sabbath........

then early Sunday morning they went to the tomb BUT........
Messiah Yeshua - Jesus was already risen........

but if it was seventy two hours, (three days and three nights) from his burial... then his resurrection would have been late Sabbath - Saturday afternoon.... or early evening before sunset on the Sabbath.....???/

The answer to your question is "NONE OF THE ABOVE".

Before there was day and night, God spoke into the darkness and said "Let there be light". Then He separated the light from the darkness and the light He called "Day" and the Darkness He called "Night". By separating light from darkness, God created "Night". God is bigger than time and space. And He dwells in inapproachable Light. He is always in the Light, because He IS light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). God was not IN any "day" or "night" when He created them both. He IS light, so He IS the TRUEST "Day". He is the Bright and Morning Star, the Sun of Righteousness.

This is Hebrew, not Roman.
Sister, the students of the Bible questioned many of the traditions of the parent Roman church in contradiction to the word of God guaranteed through prophets, but they died before they questioned the Sunday tradition they adapted and their followers have not continued the effort of their founders by going back to the whole truth in the Bible. Unfortunately, the errors introduced by the parent Roman apostate church were too many for an individual to live long enough to correct them all.
After Sabbath is evening, the beginning of the 1st day.
The days established in Genesis are from morning to morning. God made holy the whole seventh day from morning to morning in the time zone of Eden and Israel being our example in remembering to keep the Sabbath holy in other places besides Eden starts the Sabbath 12 hours before its seventh local day of the week. Brother, the week of creation began with light, each day being from morning to morning. God had a lot to say about His creating during the first half a day period of light between the morning and the evening but had nothing to report during the second half a day period between the evening and the morning that ended each day because God stopped creating each night. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" refers to a time before the week of creation. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge

Why isn't this poll a simple yes, no, and maybe? I can't answer the question because God created around the clock.
Brother, the pattern of the days of the week of creation in the book of Genesis reveal God created during the light first half a day period between morning and evening but stopped creating each dark second half a day period between evening and morning having nothing to report during the night that ended each day. No. The week of creation began with creating the heavens (outerspace) and the earth (abyss of universal waters) all in darkness. Before God said "Let there be light", where was He? Where was the Spirit of God when He said "Let there be light"? Where was the Sun? Where was the light of "Day"? The light did not exist yet, neither did the Sun. God came into Darkness and in the THICK Darkness, God did his work of creating light.

The days established in Genesis are from morning to morning.

No! They are from sunset to sunset!!! Any Jew will tell you that. That is how God made it in the beginning. Man changed it to morning to morning, and later still from midnight to midnight."And the EVENING and the morning were the first day." - God! Anyone can read it for themselves. Any difference to the day starting at evening is man's doing.

The Roman church came long after Sunday was celebrated as the Resurrection Day. You hate the Catholic church so much, you want to blame every little thing on them in total ignorance. Shame on you in particular.

Look I love Seventh-day Adventists, and living what they know to be true, but I hate their ignorance of the Word of God. But what they know of the Word, they keep, so I applaud them.

Sister, sunset falls in the middle of the day in Genesis. The later period of evening to morning of darkness concludes the first day that began with the prior morning to evening light period at the beginning of the week of creation. The week of creation began with light, everything that took place prior to this light is prior to the week of creation.

As Jesus pointed out the Jews were making their own traditions that contradicted the word of God, but unlike the Jews who preserve the ten commandments as a valuable gift of God to this day, our parent Roman apostate church embraced human traditions above God’s word to the point of trying to change God’s ten commandments to remove the second and change the wording of the fourth and tenth command to replace God’s true Sabbath with a human tradition standing in place of God’s command.

Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Exodus 20:8-11 NIV)

Replaced with something less clear that is not opposed to their Sunday tradition.

Remember to keep holy the LORD'S Day. (many words edited away by our parent church)

By splitting the tenth command into two, they bring the count back to ten so that is not obvious from the counting of the commands that they have removed the second entirely. The Jews worship the law as a valued gift from God and would never think to change it, that is an act of a deceiving enemy of God’s way. God never wanted a human king like the pope over His church, God sent the Holy Spirit as our always present king, having direct access to each one of us all the time. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge

Before God said "Let there be light", where was He?
Brother, He was located on the earth around Eden.
Where was the Spirit of God when He said "Let there be light"?
God's Spirit was located around Eden.

God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. (Genesis 1:2b NIV)

The week of creation took place in a place on earth where it was established that the days are from morning to morning. Consequently, also establishing the seventh day made holy from morning to morning and because Israel remembers to keep holy the seventh day, beginning 12 hours before their seventh local day, I came to the conclusion that the Sabbath mas made holy in the Eden time zone.
Where was the Sun?
God turned on the light when the sun came on, which He then tells us determines the days that began to be counted from the first day.
Where was the light of "Day"?
The 12 hours of light began when He said “let their be light”, followed by 12 hours from evening to morning of the night period that ended each day of the week of creation.
The light did not exist yet, neither did the Sun. God came into Darkness and in the THICK Darkness, God did his work of creating light.
That darkness before the week of creation is not part of the week of creation, the week of creation begins with the period of light after He said “let their be light”. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge

When do you say Sabbath starts? On Friday evening, or at sunrise Saturday morning? SDA's know. Do you? Or ask a Jew.

When do you say Sabbath starts?
Sister, here in the United States it starts 17 hours before sunrise at the beginning of Saturday.
On Friday evening
That is only correct in Israel, where the Sabbath starts 12 hours before sunrise at the beginning of Saturday.
at sunrise Saturday morning?
That is correct in Eden, where God made holy the seventh day. In Eden, the Sabbath begins at sunrise at the beginning of Saturday.
SDA's know.
The SDA church began keeping the Sabbath from 6 to 6 pm because the study of the Bible convinced Brother Bates that it would be a mistake to start the Sabbath here in the United States at sunrise. Our prophetess verified that this rejection of the sunrise option was correct, but did not discourage Brother Bates by correcting his other mistaken assumption, that evening meant 6 o’clock in the afternoon. This correction was left to the additional study of the Bible before our prophetess would verify more and, after 8 years, the personal study of the Bible of Brother Andrews convinced the church that the word evening in the book of Leviticus meant the setting of the sun. This conclusion was verified by our prophetess, but Brother Andrews was also wrong to think that the instruction given to Israel are also for us here in the United States. Once again, our prophetess did not correct Brother Andrews for His erroneous assumption and this correction was left to the additional study of the Bible before our prophetess would verify more, but until I understood more after 164 years no one has convinced the church of a greater truth. Unfortunately, our prophetess has died and can not confirm my conclusions.
I know that the SDA church needs further growth about the proper commencement of the Sabbath throughout the world. Like the Jews, the SDA church is right only in Israel, but it is wrong in any other part of the world.
ask a Jew.
I have asked several Jews! Because of the way they keep the Sabbath, they think that God established the days from evening to evening, but Genesis reveals that the days were established by God from morning to morning and the Sabbath at Israel starts 12 hours before its seventh local day of the week. This reveals to me that the Sabbath was made holy in the time zone of Eden and that is why Israel remembers to keep the Sabbath holy by starting 12 hours before its seventh local day. God's people, the children of Israel were taught God's timeclock with regards to the keeping of the Sabbath. That would be at sundown Friday, to sundown Saturday.

He's the only authority anyone needs to follow. I'm in America, and when I was a SDA, we started at sundown Friday.

God's people, the children of Israel were taught God's timeclock with regards to the keeping of the Sabbath. That would be at sundown Friday, to sundown Saturday.
Sister, everyone supposes that God was not being specific regarding the location of Israel, but Genesis reveals that His instructions to Israel about the beginning of the Sabbath were specific to the location of Israel.
He's the only authority anyone needs to follow. I'm in America, and when I was a SDA, we started at sundown Friday.
We can not choose what we want to be faithful to, we must be faithful to all that God has revealed. Not only did He tell Israel how to remember to keep the Sabbath holy.

It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath. (Leviticus 23:32 NIV)

He also established before His instruction to Israel what is a day in Genesis, revealing what is the true seventh day He made holy, correcting our assumption about the previous verse: whether He wants it to be the same for all locations or specific for Israel.

And God said, let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

The word translated as “evening” in the previous verse is the transition from light to darkness, you can not have an “evening” without light before to make the transition to darkness. Evening comes in the middle of the day in Genesis, separating the previous period of light from the later period of darkness that concludes the first day. To keep the Sabbath holy around the world, you must know the relationship between these two examples: a Sabbath in Eden from morning to morning and a Sabbath in Israel from evening to evening. The only conclusion I can think of is that the Sabbath was made holy in the time zone of Eden and that is why Israel remembers to keep it holy a different way instead of doing the same thing that was done in Eden. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge

No. Dry land did not exist until Genesis 1:9 and the Garden of Eden did not exist until Genesis 2:9. God created the heavens first, then the earth in Genesis 1:1, but the earth had no shape and was empty and darkness covered its waters. The earth was just a shapeless Universal Ocean of water. That's when the Spirit of God hovered over those waters in outerspace. He was not standing on any dry land, nor was He in the Garden of Eden, which didn't exist yet. He was in outerspace, hovering over the Universal Ocean of the waters of the Abyss.

But I'll take it back even further..... where was God in Genesis 1:1 when He created the heavens and the earth?

Brother, the week of creation began with light

No. The week of Creation began in Genesis 1:1 when He created the Heavens and the Earth. God created outerspace and the "earth" which was just a universal ocean of formless, empty water... the Abyss. Then God's Spirit hovered over the waters, he created light, seperated the light from the darkness of outerspace, and called the light "day" and the darkness "night". God did NOT create IN any particular day. God created the day itself. He is Lord OVER/BEYOND/ABOVE the day. He created dark heavens (outerspace) first, then he created the abyss of waters (earth) then he created light (day) and by seperating the light from the darkness he created NIGHT. God was not IN space and time... He CREATED space and time.

And this same God says to you "Man was not made to serve the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made to serve man. And the the Son of Man is the Lord OF the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27-28)

That's when the Spirit of God hovered over those waters in outerspace. He was not standing on any dry land, nor was He in the Garden of Eden, which didn't exist yet. He was in outerspace, hovering over the Universal Ocean of the waters of the Abyss.
Brother, even when He says “let there be light” took place before the week of creation, because the pattern of the days states that at the beginning is the period of light. From morning to evening is the period of light and from evening to morning is the period of darkness that ends the first day and each subsequent day of the week of creation. Taking this pattern back to the beginning of the week you learn that everything before the light is before the week of creation.
But I'll take it back even further..... where was God in Genesis 1:1 when He created the heavens and the earth?
As far as I know, that has not been revealed.

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29 NIV)

What has been revealed is that it took place before the week of creation.
The days in Genesis end with the period of evening to morning because they start with the period of morning to evening. The reason God has nothing to report between the period from evening to morning is because He stopped creating each night that ended the days of the week but had a lot to report during the first half a day from morning to evening about His creating. Taking this pattern back to the beginning of the week you learn that everything before the light is before the week of creation.
And this same God says to you "Man was not made to serve the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made to serve man. And the the Son of Man is the Lord OF the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27-28)
We are to remember to keep the Sabbath holy as a “forever” sign between Him and us.

The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.'" (Exodus 31:16-17 NIV)

“Forever” means that this covenant does not expire, ever.
Sunday morning, from 12:01am to 5am it is still dark. Jesus arose on Sunday morning while it was still dark.

You are using our traditions when it is God who established when the day begins in Genesis. The day begins at sunrise, “while it was still dark” is before sunrise and Sunday has not yet begun. United in our hope of the soon return of Jesus, Jorge
