Seems like the flag hugging president isn't as big a fan of the Constitution as he claims.

Last night Jerry Falwell Jr. incorrectly Tweets that Trump should get two more extra years because of the Mueller investigation (which he falsely claims was a "failed coup" - none of them seem to know what that word means), see red arrow, which Trump thought would be a good idea to retweet for some reason. Then this evening Trump starts parroting the "two years" trope and claims they were stolen and he can never get them back (poor victim Donnie).

Can any of you imagine if a high profile supporter of President Obama called for two more years which he retweeted and then followed up with a comment like Trump did?

I cannot imagine a high profile Obama supporter saying the same thing, even rhetorically, because Obama was never subjected to two years of false accusations that he was an agent of Russia.

I distinctly remember Trump doing some governing during the first two years of is presidency. Sure, it wasn't that much, but that was mostly because of his golfing and executive time, not because of any investigations. He did sign a lot of executive orders, did a lot of campaigning and appointed a huge amount of judges.

 Yeah, he was only subject to 8 years of false accusations that he was a Kenyan born Muslim usurper who Mitch McConnell vowed to make a one term president.

By your logic, that means he should have gotten at least a whole extra term.

And since this part of my OP apparently needs to be emphasized:
>> Can any of you imagine if a high profile supporter of President Obama called for two more years which he retweeted and then followed up with a comment like Trump did?
I didn't say anything about the particulars of why a supporter of President Obama would call for an extended time in office, so that is a red herring. Asking about:
A high profile supporter of President Obama calling for and extended term
President Obama retweeting said Tweet
President Obama then using the same verbiage about time on office the next day

I've been saying for a long time that he's not going to leave the office gracefully. Regardless of whether it's because he's impeached, he's voted out, or he's simply completed 2 terms, he will not leave the office willingly. He's going to shout out to his "tough guys" to use their "2nd Amendment" rights to secure that he remains in office. Ironically, he's calling on part of the Constitution to dismiss parts of the Constituion that don't serve his agenda.

There were never any false statements made about President Obama and the Republicans diligently worked with him except where his policies violated the Constitution or God’s Law.

The President has the support of Loyal Americans, The Military, The Police, and Biker Gangs. They will ensure that the Leaders will is followed and that his plans to make America Great come to completion, regardless of how long it takes.

This kind of thing is intended to agitate the more gullible of the voters, but it is rather 'old hat' by now. The same thing was said--very gravely, of course--about Nixon's supposed intentions, Reagan's alleged intentions, and Bush II's intentions. None of it had any truth to it.

Another thread saying the President said something that he didn’t.

What a surprise.

Where does he push for a lifetime appointment there?

Where does the President want an additional two years?

Answer: nowhere

Are you seriously telling us that Falwell Jr. Tweet is just trolling "the more gullible voters" and that Trump retweeted it just to troll "the more gullible voters"?

Do you really think we're that susceptible to gaslighting?

Are you forgetting REDMAP from earlier today?

The "Only kidding! We don't really want to gas the Jews, stupid libs" thing is one of the big tactics of white supremacists - weaponizing irony so that you can never tell when something is a serious proposal and when it's just an """"edgy"""" joke so that you can slip in hateful racist stuff under the radar.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that this same tactic is being used with Donny's "I'm so great I should get a bonus two years" rhetoric.

When you think of what Presidents were remembered for; Lincoln-Gettysburg address, Washington's farwell address, Grover Cleveland-8 articles in Saturday Evening Post on fishing. Then there is Trump and his inane tweets. What a legacy, he must seem like a god to lesser twitter trolls.

I guess when a new president is inaugurated on 1/20/2021 they will have to send the troops in to escort him out...

Or perhaps Air Force One can take him to Mar a Lago and, while he is gone, change the locks to the White House, pack up his stuff and either transport it to Trump Tower C.O.D. or leave it on the steps.

Of course Trump is running scared. Chances are he will be arrested by some government entity or other as soon as his term is over. He is the "unindicted co-conspirator" in the case Michael Cohen, acting under Trump's orders, is serving time for. New York State is after him for a number of tax fraud investigations. And let's face it, he obstructed justice.

I would love to see him move to the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
