We follow the teachings of God through our prophet:

Of course they are love, for they are a reflection of God's very character. Through the reading of His word, we come to realize all that God is what He has done for us and are convicted of His love and we fall in love with Him and we keep His commandments because we love Him. Love works through us to keep His commandments. It is love that is the key for God is love -- His word testifies to that. The commandments are an expression of that love. Just keeping them will get you nothing. It is only love that enables us to truly keep them for then we will be one with God. Otherwise, it is just works only.

We do also---through the LIVING PROOPHET--JESUS CHRIST-- OUR HIGH PRIEST.
All other prophets are minor and must conform to His teachings. JS does not.

I do not believe it is possible for a person to keep the commandments and not love God and their fellow man. Great promises are given to those who keep the commandments. However, as Jesus taught, keeping the commandments requires works:

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
(New Testament | Luke 10:37)

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Yah---well I do---I have seen it. Meticulous about them---but no real love in the heart. It is love that allows us to keep them from the heart. And you have to know that great and mighty God to get to love Him. You have to know all about Him. That is how you fall in love with anyone. You get to know them. Who they are. You can be passing acquaintances for years, but it's not until you get to be around someone, to know about them and they know you that love will form. You guys can not truly sing the song "How Great Thou Art" for you don 't really know how great He is. You may voice the words, with a full choir, but you don't know Him!

Yes God does give power to man to thwart His enemies. He gave that power to Moses to emancipate the Jews. He gave that power to Samson to destroy the Philistines. He has given that power to others also. Read the Bible.

I don't think you noticed the difference in these verses. There is a difference between God's enemies and our enemies.
