I see several scenarios. Perhaps others can correct any misunderstandings I might have, or can suggest other alternatives...?

1. He will be defeated in 2020 and, because there will be a President elected who will not be sympathetic to his plight, Trump will be indicted for, amongst others, his obstruction of justice.

2. Fearing the likelihood of #1, he will step down before the 2020 election, in the understanding that President Pence would do a Gerald Ford and pardon him of all crimes, past and future.

3. He will be impeached, with the same outcome as #2.

4. He will lose the 2020 election and will then step down before Jan 2021, to allow Pence to briefly take the presidency in order to pardon him (not sure of this one...is that how it would work?)

5. He will be re-elected in 2020, allowing him to escape prosecution, as the Statute of Limitations will expire before his second term concludes.

Just thought of one more...

6. Bill Weld will oust him in the Republican primaries...

7. He wins the popular vote and loses the Electoral vote. He claims the popular vote is the deciding factor, refuses to leave office and is forcibly drug out of the White House.

The same was said of Obama.
Each President has his own detractors and back door conspirators. This thread is no different. zzzzzz

Just today the economy was reported to be strong and robust after similar, earlier reports. The economy is a big factor in any US presidential election. I would be surprised if Trump is not re-elected in 2020.

That is a tough one, huh? Certainly a good economy is a large factor in re-electing a president.

But then we have never had such an embarrassing example as Trump as our president before. How much self-inflicted damage can a good economy balance out?

I guess we will find out if the economy holds until the election.

And the democrats will no longer believe that the popular vote should decide things.

And how does that apply to anything. The Democrats accepted that the Electoral vote was the only thing that mattered in 2016. President Obama turned over the the government right on schedule based on that vote.

The Democrats would like the election of the president to reflect the wisdom of the voters rather than an Electoral College, but until that becomes legal, the Democrats abide by the laws and the Constitution on the issue.

I am more interested in the counter investigation of the treasonous bureaucrats who sought to usurp a president through a phony FISA warrant and a phony dossier.

7. He is reelected in 2020 because of his accomplishments in improving the lives of American Citizens and his presidency will end in 2024 after completing two full terms as POTUS.

Is this yet another thread designated to be an echo chamber for trump bashing?
It's a national past time. We had eight years of Obama bashing. It is only fair to pass the love around.

He will either lose his re-election bid in 2020 and leave office when the new president is sworn in, or he will be re-elected in 2020 and serve a second term.

The words "treasonous" "usurp" "phony" and "president" are used incorrectly in this sentence.
