Alabama Democrat refreshingly honest about abortion. If these unwanted babies are born they will eventually end up in the electric chair so lets just kill them now. I respect this blatant honesty, I wish more democrats would be this way. He's acknowledging that a pre born baby is in fact human and if left to natural circumstances will grow up into an adult. One that's gonna fry in the electric chair, but a human none the less. Please, democrats, take a page from his playbook and imitate this bold move.

This is a creepy statement.
creepy and utterly bogus. There is no such thing as an unwanted baby in the United States. As we speak, 36 families right now are waiting for one baby. ie one family in 36 will get to adopt a baby. People are eagerly waiting, they WANT babies. And no one dies in the electric chair anymore. They die of old age waiting execution more often than not. What an absurd thing for anyone to say. I am happy, however, that he recognized abortion as cold hearted murder.

With all due respect, not all Democrats (liberals) believe that about the unborn. I'm not a Democrat, but I am a liberal and I oppose abortion because I believe in the sanctity of life. I believe all human beings are created in the image of God and we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by Him.

Well then you are a rare bird. Good for you. Democratic Party dogma is that a woman has an absolute right to kill her unborn child. Not one of the twenty or so candidates for president would do anything but fall over each other affirming that. Yes, there are a few like yourself who don't go with the flow, folks like 'Democrats for Life', but they are rare and getting rarer.

I used to be a Democrat until I was basically pushed out because I was opposed to abortion. Now I'm looking for a new party that is willing to be pro-life. Yes the Republicans sometimes act and sound pro-life. But how come they never actually did anything when they had the political power? Planned Parenthood is still supported by the government.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your response. Personally speaking, I have shunned by Democrats for opposing abortion. I've been ridiculed by liberals and not believed by conservatives, who thought I'm only trolling them. I can't seem to win for losing in this particular area of political activism. I guess it is what it is and I just keep moving forward. It's been a tough road to be on.

I've been on both sides of the fence. There was no place left for me with the Democrats, so I left. The Republicans were more congenial, but somehow never managed to get rid of abortion. Then Trump comes along. He's a total boor but he is proving to be more pro-life than any other president has been. I didn't vote for him and don't know if I can vote for him. I do feel exiled from my adopted Republican Party, and am wishing there was a sane alternative. The Democrats are clearly deranged about Trump and there is only one pro-life Democrat to speak of in the US House of Representatives. I'd vote for him, Dan Lapinski, but that's not my district. I have hopes for the American Solidarity Party, but they seem unprepared to actually launch on any major scale. It's a tough road indeed.

I think I'm going to research the American Solidarity Party because you mentioned it. I have been supporting the Green Party over the years because of its platform on environmentalism and social justice activism. I agree with a lot of the parties' platform on various issues except for abortion.

I like the environmentalism of the Green Party, but for the rest they seem plain old socialist, much like what it seems the Democratic Party is in such a rush to become. I was reminded just today that pope Pius XI said you can't be a Socialist and a Christian. I'm not overly gung-ho over capitalism, particularly in the way that Google and Facebook want to monetize our existence. I'm trying to find out more about Distributism as a more even handed and human approach to economics. I think I best fit into the 'Humphrey Democrat' category, but such a thing no longer exists. Hasn't existed for about 20 years.
