A thousand dollars worth of drinks (and a service charge) was billed to the State Department who refused to pay and forwarded it to the White House which paid it.
How Taxpayers Covered a $1,000 Liquor Bill for Trump Staffers (and More) at Trump’s Club — ProPublica

The Secret Service guarded the door, according to the email. The bartender wasn’t allowed to return. And members of the group began pouring themselves drinks. No one paid.

Six days later, on April 13, Mar-a-Lago created a bill for those drinks, tallying $838 worth of alcohol plus a 20% service charge. It covered 54 drinks (making for an average price of $18.62 each) of premium liquor: Chopin vodka, Patron and Don Julio Blanco tequilas and Woodford Reserve bourbon.

Yet another example of Trump profiting off taxpayer money. If President Obama or Secretary Clinton had done anything like this the Conservispher would be screaming for them to be in prison.

He's the king of graft. Supposedly, Donny doesn't even drink alcohol. I guess that doesn't stop him from soaking taxpayers for as much as he can.

Some Presidents entertained at Camp David or the White House where taxpayers picked up the tab.

Neither the White House nor Camp David are for profit businesses owned by the guy in the White House.

These offsite parties may not be covered.

Apparently they are being covered by this administration and the money is going into Trump's pocket.

I think Nancey Pelosi drinking has him beat!
Nancy Pelosi's In-Flight Food And Drink Costs? $101,000

But concerning Trump, is Trump even drawing a salary as President? The booze charge seems pretty reasonable if he isn't.

Thank the all-American Democrats for years of supporting raising "sin taxes" and therefore prices of booze and cigarettes. Increases whether the cause be taxes, inflation, or other supposed justifications (grape shortage? ^_^) are always passed down to the consumers. Seems all politicians have long had reputations for desiring the "finer" things in life, and those of us unprivileged or practical and resourceful people, may find such indulgences to be overly excessive, indeed I think so too, but it is nothing new under the sun. More of a  distraction from the Barr witch hunt than anything.

Did Speaker Pelosi own the plane, hotel, etc.? If not then your whataboutism is a failure.

And no, her Congressional delegation didn't spend $100,000 on in-flight food and drinks.

The claim is baseless.

Updated - Trump-O-Meter: Take no salary

He doesn't need a salary because he's making money off the Secret Service when Melania and Barron stayed in NYC, when he goes golfing at his courses and charges the government and all these shenanigans at Mar-a-Lago. Well, those things and the massive tax break he gave himself.

The booze charge seems pretty reasonable if he isn't.

You're excusing this exercise in graft because he's not taking a salary?

Your last sentence pretty much echoed what I was going to say: using "B-b-but he's not drawing a salary!" as a fig leaf for the sort of corruption he embodies is a poor excuse for anything.

 This is a bizarre non-sequitur.

The Patron Tequila was $15/serving.
The Chopin Vodka was $16/serving.
The Don Julio tequila was $15/serving.

Those prices are outrageous and have nothing to do with "sin taxes". Alabama only sells liquor at state owned stores so used their price list as a reasonable metric.

A bottle of Patron Silver is $57.99
There are approximately 16 servings worth in in a 750ml bottle so their retail cost is $3.62/serving.
A bottle of Chopin is $26.99 with a retail cost of $1.68/serving.
A bottle of Don Julio Blanco is $58.99 with a retail cost of $3.68/serving.

The cost, at taxpayer expence, of this party was due to the outrageous markup that Trump charges and that's not even counting the ridiculous $200 service charge when they were serving themselves!

What's galling is that the events are held in his properties. Does he give the U.S. a discount? No. He rakes it in, reveling in the "no vacancy" signs in his D.C. hotel--where diplomats, in little more than a bribe, are staying.

The only vacancy in the Trump empire these days is what's in between his ears.

God Bless our President who is the most popular ever!
Amen.

Now if we can manage to put the bogus witch hunt behind us and win back the house as well as re-election for Trump in 2020 - he may well go down as one of the greatest presidents in modern times.

Pray for those things.

Sorry, I don't follow false prophets. I am horrified and appalled by religious leaders such as Franklin Graham who are propping up an icon of the seven deadly sins (and then some) because they perceive that, despite his lack of character, he will accomplish one or two of their goals.

It is a Faustian bargain, and I will pray for those who take it.

The White House paid it. Donald J. Trump lives in the White House, it is his house, and therefore, Donald J. Trump paid the bill.

God Bless our President who is the most popular ever!
Only one Rasmussen Poll (Rasmussen is a conservative group) puts Trump in positive numbers in popularity--51%. All the others have him coming up short, as he has been throughout his presidency.

I guess he probably said he was the most popular president ever in that Wisconsin rally last week....you need to find a much better source of information than the president himself.

Those are pretty typical retail prices for a swanky bar. Maybe a smidge high for most places, but swankier places have higher markup.
