I corrected in Bright moon's post "creationism" to "creationists" because it's creationists that drive christians away from christianity. During years they hear about "evilution", that there is no evidence, that scientists are dropping "evolution", that all evidence are just hoaxes and other lies. When they discover that their pastor, bible teacher etc has lied about some stuff, they start to question little bit by little bit everything. And in the end they question everything. the testimony of Paulogia is very telling:

I was already an atheist when I joined, but my interactions with christians, including you have confirmed that christianity has nothing to offer. It has only pushed my more away.

But I think I can, with just a couple of simple questions, show he was never saved in the first place.

And if he was, then he has a serious problem that doesn't have anything to do with science.

Sorry, your test is almost sure to be invalid. Christians that believe they are saved are often the people least likely to be saved by the standards set forth in the Bible. I have found that those that seriously doubt if they are saved tend to follow the teachings of Jesus more closely.
