Nikki Haley as Trump's VP in 2020?

I think the LAST people I would be taking advice from is CNN if I were the President.

That was the general impression I got when she resigned as UN ambassador. It wasn't your typical resignation. She appeared at a press conference with Trump and was quite enthusiastic about continuing to support him. It struck me then that Pence might drop out and be replaced by Haley.

She's way younger, she needs to think long-term not just right now. I think partnering with Trump would cause her a lot of problems in the future.

Get rid of Trump. Nickie and Pence might be a better idea. I have no respect for Trump.

At this point I think Haley too smart to accept such an offer.

She was on the wrong side of the GOP's internal struggle during the primary:

Nikki Haley: Anyone but Donald Trump

So, no, she doesn't have much of a political future. She represents the old Republican Party to which the voters have the heave-ho at the first opportunity.

Perhaps her husband would make a better choice as an assistant leader of a country.

Now that he has the religious right firmly under his thumb, he can try to bamboozle the female vote...

The key issue for the Religious Right is packing the courts for an end-run of the First Amendment, which Trump seems to be doing just fine. The question would be if Haley is seen by them as being able to keep to that course.

I've had members of the religious right argue with me that freedom of religion in the Constitution really means freedom of Christian religion. Not looking forward to what happens if people like that got in charge of anything.

Of he wants a female VP, and props to him for that, it would help him in the polls to choose one who's actually half-attractive.

Why?

Nikki Haley would be a good choice if one needed to be made; but one thing is for certain--the minute that she is chosen to be the VP nominee, the media people praising her now would instantly start savaging her for any number of reasons.
