In Wisconsin, there was recently a race for state Supreme Court. The conservative/liberal makeup of the court was 4/3. The conservative won, and now it's 5/2. The recent city council race got rid of our liberal city council president too--and this city is a liberal part of the state. So the idea that liberals (dems) are on a roll doesn't seem to be holding since the mid-term federal election.

So are the voters trying to get the tax situation there under control?

Look it up and tell us if that is so, Gigimo. If so, the voters decided a change was needed in their districts to the Democratic Party.

Historical facts for HS text books may include facts that displease people.

It is a historical truth that at a certain moment a majority of Americans surveyed thought Trump was mentally ill and a racist. That is a fact, not political or ideological slander.

It's hard to say. In the November election, they voted out our Republican governor in favor of a Democrat, but left the Republican majority Assembly and Senate in place. Of course, the governor wants to raise our taxes and legalize Marijuana while the Republicans are opposing those things.

It's also a historical truth that the American people decided after 8 years of Obama that they no longer wanted a democrat to be president, which says something about how Obama governed. Did they put that fact in the textbook?

And other countries have the same issues too but tend to ignore them, like their racism towards aboriginal peoples for instance.

That's true.

And your response reminded me of this quote about America being guilty of the same: "America was built on two monumental crimes: The genocide of the Native American and the enslavement of Africans. The tendency of official America is to memorialize other peoples' crimes and to forget its own in order to seek a higher ground as a pretext to ignore real issues." Mahmood Mamdani

All countries have racial tension issues but few that are 1st World have leaders that fuel them as much as Trump.

Border security isn't a racial issue. It's a national security issue.

Based on what I posted in my post earlier on in this thread, I would have to agree with you.

I wrote about it because that's the main thing people point to when they accuse Trump of being racist.

Maybe that's what people you know point to 1st but there's more reasons than that for Trump being called a racist.

Did you happen to read that article and the circumstantial (at best) evidence it contained? They tried painting Nick Bosa as racist for not liking The Black Panther movie or Beyonce's music. This is just another example of the MSM looking desperately for reasons to call a white person a racist and then tying them to Trump. No different than how white people who didn't like Obama were called racist.

Did you notice that trump didn't congratulate the Number 1 pick? Regarding the "(at best) circumstantial" evidence why do you consider it not noteworthy? Nick Bosa liked Instagram posts featuring racist and homophobic slurs

Ah, so now he's racist for what he didn't do?
Again, did you read the article you posted a link to, and did you notice the flimsy reasoning they used to try to paint Nick Bosa as a racist?
For your info., I don't listen to Beyonce's music either and don't find rap appealing either. That should be enough right there for a true racist to try painting me as one, and in the eyes of hateful people who like causing division, to succeed.

So why wouldn't trump congratulate the number 1 selection? Does he typically invite the second place teams to the WH? Why did Bosa's people "clean" his account? Why did he apologize if there was nothing to be sorry about regarding his posts and likes? Always enjoy, though with some sadness, watching trump supporters go through their gymnastics to defend the indefensible!

Maybe Bosa is a fan of Trump, and Trump was showing his appreciation by congratulating him. Too bad if that hurts the feelings of the poor fellow who was picked first. I'm sure the tens of millions he'll make playing football will heal them.

For the same reason everyone else does when they're accused of racism. If he didn't, then the MSM would report that he's "doubling down on his racist comments" for not apologizing and agreeing with the people who accused him.

Boy, you would think trump would just invite his favorite team to the WH, instead of the number 1 team. I doubt it hurt the feelings of Murray, anyone who has been witness to trump would expect nothing more. You are right though, trump only appreciates and cares about people who grovel at his feet.

For the same reason everyone else does when they're accused of racism. If he didn't, then the MSM would report that he's "doubling down on his racist comments" for not apologizing and agreeing with the people who accused him.

Oh, sure...everyone that is accused of racially insensitivity has their computer cleaned...why clean it if there is nothing that could be considered racist about it? Curious, is it a necessary function of bowing to trump that one must jettison reason and logic and thus scrap the bottom of the illogic barrel to defend anything and everything?
