Wickedness and Sinfulness - Know the Difference!
In Jeremiah 31:34 it describes the New Covenant of Jesus Christ...
Jeremiah 31:34 - No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
Notice that the Lord will 'forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more'. Here there are two distinctions in God's New Covenant that pinpoint our sinful behavior. One will be forgiven and one forgotten.
When Eve believed the serpent's lie, and ate the forbidden fruit, she sinned against God as an individual alone. But when Eve tempted Adam with her sin she became wicked as she spread the lie and wickedness to other's.
When Eve first sinned nothing happened since God said he would remember our sins no more. But when Eve got Adam to sin they both instantly became aware of their wickedness. Remember that since Eve was made from the rib of Adam that whenever Eve became wicked then instantly Adam did too.
If Eve had only stopped her sin with only herself then God would have remembered her sin no more. And since Eve was made from Adam then both of them would have be oblivious to any sin in one or the other.
But when Eve sought to spread her sin to Adam, God said that he would forget sin but not forget wickedness, so they both became aware of their wickedness and their nakedness.
People always state that a person is oblivious to their own sin simply because God said that he would remember it no more (hint: like our sinful thoughts). But when the person promotes, and spreads, their sin to other's (hint: like gossip) they become wicked and God will no longer forget their wickedness, but he will still forgive it!
Remember that when every believer in Jesus Christ receives his reward in heaven those who spread a life full of sin and debauchery will have their white robes covered with soot, for eternity. For while God forgave and forget their sin he will not forget their wickedness.
It is also important to notice that the New Covenant of Jesus Christ existed in the Garden of Eden for Eve didn't notice her own sin until it became wickedness when she got Adam to sin.
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who will forgive your sins. But be careful that you don't promote sin, for that will be recorded on your white robe in heaven, for eternity.
God Bless
