Have you ever experienced anything supernatural? Has the Holy Spirit ever spoken to you? Do you have a spiritual gift? Have you experienced demons or deliverance of any kind?

If you have anything you'd like to share, I'd like to hear your testimony. God Bless!

I guess I will be the first to respond. I have experienced a vision from God in which He called me to ministry. I used to be a helicopter pilot for the USMC. But I gave it all up to go to seminary and become a chaplain. I don't think I am close to being ready to stand behind the pulpit, and at first, I told God He got the wrong person. But I believe that I will be ready in His timing as long as I continue to walk in faith and grow in spiritual maturity.

I once stayed up late praying for forgiveness about some things. Suddenly, my temperature rose and there was a sensation of something like electrical current flowing through my cells. It was such an intense bond between me and God that I eventually had to ask Him to stop. So it stopped. But I knew I had been forgiven.

Reasons to believe me: I was praying and asking for God to show me a sign that He heard my prayers of remorse, that He would forgive my sins. Plus, this exact thing has never happened before or since. And this wasn't something major like parting the Red Sea; it was something intimate and personal. I assume it was invisible to the naked eye.

Reasons not to believe me: I have no physical evidence for any of this. Eyewitness would be useless for cases like this one (not that there were any eyewitnesses). It was an experience which was entirely subjective and in theory could've only happened in my imagination (I don't think it did but in theory it could have). Psychology says that sometimes religious people hallucinate experiences like this one. I asked for a sign so perhaps my subconscious created a sign.

I believe it was real but I don't fault anybody if they refuse to believe me.

I was in a foreign land on a motorbike. I was driving through the country with a GPS on the handlebar, aimlessly following it to the next town. There was a traffic light ahead which was rather odd looking. It was showing red. I slowed down to stop. As I was slowing I looked down at the pavement and had a strong thought/urge telling me "stop on the yellow line". This was kind of odd because it was a two laned highway. I've never stopped in the middle for any reason. Anyway I did and seconds later a semi truck passed me on one side, and a pickup truck on the other, neither of them touched their brakes as they sped by at highway speeds (probably 120kms/h). The combo light was confusing but it was actually displaying for no right turn at the time. This was a few years ago and I was not a Christian then. But I do believe this was the Holy Spirit, or an angel or something putting the thought into my thick skull. Praise God!

I have been visited by the Holy Spirit on three occasions. Each time with a message for me. And each time I was filled with a heavenly amount of peace, love and all pain and turmoil left my soul for a few hours each time. I have schizophrenia and He convinced me to see a doctor about it. Another time He testified that God can do no evil and Satan can do no good. Another time He was with a spirit woman that was Heavenly Mother and He forgave my sins.

This one occurrence will probably seem strange to you, but it was real to me: One time God the Father spoke to me from a distance that was so far it was un-discernible, some distant place in the universe. But I could tell it was that distant from Him. He instructed me to praise and worship Jesus the Christ, His Son. When He spoke I could hear it from every cell of my body somehow. His body looked grey metal'ish somehow, and had a beard.

I was driving fast on a mountain. Didn't realize just beyond the crest, the side of the road I'm driving on is missing, collapsed into a ravine because of heavy rains the day earlier.

I didn't realize it yet but as soon as I hit the crest on the road, I saw the road undergo supernatural tranformation!

If you watched the movie "Doctor Strange" or "Inception" or "The Matrix" where the landscape is able to transform. That's how it looked like!

The transformed road basically steered my car to avoid the missing side of the road! I'm so grateful for it!

It's funny at times when everyone just thinks I'm useless and hates me, I recall that miracle and wished God just let me die that day.

The Spirit has spoken to me - in the way of leanings, through other people, and through God's Word. She has gifted me with Teaching.

The prefix "super" means above or higher, and natural means what we would all expect. Or in other words the supernatural is anything that alters the natural course of events. Anytime we read that God's ways or thoughts are "higher", that He is "above", it means He is supernatural. By that definition the supernatural is more than just miracles. If you've ever forgiven someone (which is one of God's "higher" ways), you have operated in the supernatural because human nature is not to forgive, but to hold grudges and desire retaliation. Same with selfless acts of charity, or (agape) love. Hopefully by that definition we have all experienced the supernatural in our lives, I know I have.

Of course miracles are supernatural as well, and they are usually more exciting to talk about, but forgiveness, charity and love can be just as powerful as a miracle, if not more so.

In the early 90's ( The Time before we had mobile phones ) I headed off to the wilds of Scotland on a camping expidition with my young wife. One day , we were quite a long way from civilisation and the car started spluttering - the gas needle was pointing at empty. We hadn't filled up the tank for a few days. Well - I just said "Lord - breathe some life into my tank in Jesus' name " The car started going again and the needle was now pointing to the half way mark. We laughed as we couldn't quite believe what had just happened !

That's great - it reminds me of these verses. It speaks of increase and God's timing

ISAIAH 60:22

The smallest family will multiply into a large clan. The tiniest group will become a mighty nation. I, the LORD will bring it all to pass at the right time.

and when he does move - he moves fast !

Joseph was in languishing in Jail then he was promoted to leader and his brothers did Bow down to them as he first dreamed - how's that !

God Bless

No its not. In fact very very few spiritual experiences have anything to do with doctrine.

Probably the most important thing is establishing a closer relationship with the Lord as you receive personal guidance from your Daddy God.

Its not a boast, but I have lived my Christian life for the last 50 years in dreams visions revelations and prophetic words. I cannot imagine not having that sort of relationship with God.

I have cast demons out many times and seen peoples lives turned around as they are set free.

I prayed for something a while ago back in September, and i have been praying for this thing since last februaryish, and i went to bed, i woke up and had this very euphoric feeling, telling me what i have to do first to make things work out the way i want it

dont know how to describe it. I keep doubting myself from time to time, i need stronger faith

I also remember back in orientation for college i had left the temporary id card inside the dorm room and at the time. (the dorms have electronic door handles where you have to insert a card) I had asked an orientation leader for help and they didn't do anything, i waited around for a while for someone for the school to help me out. At the time i had extremely severe anxiety so i couldn't go and tell somebody again that i was locked out, so i kept knocking on the door and then it open

literal interpretation of Knock and it shall be opened

Yes. We do not serve "mute idols". The Holy Spirit speaks. My spiritual gift (primarily) is discerning spirits. God taught me how to "test the spirits" by asking them "Has Christ come in the flesh?" Demons say "NO!" or they refuse to respond. The Holy Spirit says "Yes!", "Amen", or "I AM". Once I knew how to discern spirits, God had me do all sorts of things like the time I was attacked by a demon in my bedroom. I ended up casting the spirit into a cat, then into the basement, then off the entire property. Then the Holy Spirit says "Behold" 3 times while my body trembled. He said "Behold I give you power over serpants and scorpion." (Luke 10:19). The next day in Church a woman came up to me and said "I have a Word for you... Luke 10:19" and she walked away. It was confirmation from God that He gave me power over the Devil. I got goosebumps.

I have been casting demons out of believers for over 40 years and have never resorted to using that scripture as a test. Surely good spiritual discernment from the Holy Spirit should be sufficient without interrogating demons who lie as the norm.

I presume this scripture is where you base your methodology.-
1Jn4v1Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ having come in the flesh is of God, 3and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not of God, and this is that of the antichrist, which you heard that is coming, and now is already in the world.
I accept the plain language of the above verses seem to agree with you, but the words are then contradicted by other scriptures.
In other words, when you read the gospels, many times demons came out confessing Jesus was the Christ.

Here's the devil confessing that Christ was come in the flesh.-
Lk4v3The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

Here's a demon confessing it.-
Lk4v33In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a demon, an impure spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, 34“Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”

Again, even more confessions.-
Lk4v41Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the Messiah.

They knew he was the Messiah, or Christ, and kept shouting it out, all which on the surface seems to contradict the common interpretation of 1Jn4v1.

I think somewhere along the way, we all misunderstand the purpose of 1Jn4.

Blessings in Christ Jesus! The king James version of the test(wording) actually is not correct. The correct is how you were given it, past tense, not present tense. In other words, "Jesus is come in the flesh" is not correct, where as, "Jesus has come in the flesh" is correct. Demons can not(will not) admit to this, because then, if they admit He was here(past tense) then they would have to admit that "It is Finished" Because of the cross. There is also one coming who will try to change times and seasons(from Daniel) and by this he will fool many. But not the elect.
