hi ive started to add some christian music into my playlist.
not sure i like the easy listen to songs that what the older generation would listen to on a sunday afternoon. instead im liking the creativity with the rock and metal with the christian theme, there's a band i discovered called HB, they split up now but some good tracks there.
i quite like chris tomlin guitar music, very energetic and uplifting yeah.
if you ever watch the TBN channel there's alot of christian bands that have the rock backing with the christian theme going on.
it really surprised me as i honestly thought from a christian point of veiw that nearly everything is a sin lol there was a pastor saying throw rock music out the window, i think he means the non christian rock music or the heavy or darker black metal, i think that's what the pastor was angry at.

i did discover from tbn kerrie roberts 'saviour to me' i like that song.
im not sure tbn is wrong, i mean it suits the younger generation a bit better for they get more bored easier and need more creativity and entertainment, it makes the whole being christian experience more enjoyable in my opinion. there's a verse saying through god we can do greater things and i feel that rings true at here.

The problem with new Christians of this generation is they lack the foundation of the Word anymore.

Without this foundation, you cannot discern. This is why you are not sure if TBN is good or bad.

Enjoyable isn't always right, in this world, it is more likely to be evil. If I was the devil, I would definitely put up a Christian church preaching truth but mixed lies, lots of lies and things that people will find enjoyable to the flesh. Sounds absurd? So that people who are looking for God will find the devil instead.

If you're thinking God would not allow such abomination, then you're not reading your Bible. God would allow such huge deception in the last days.

Don't think I'm saying that Christianity isn't supposed to be enjoyable. It is incredibly enjoyable but you're looking for enjoyment at the wrong places for the wrong reasons. Do not love the things in this world (1 John 2:15-17) and do not expect to find these things in Christianity - the true Christianity, not the fake ones.

oddly enough when you said that a thought came to mind about a verse i saw a while ago 'those who are familiar with my writings know i dont mince words, the devil is always behind sugar-coated truth and slimey tounge, be sure of that.' i cant find it in the bible anywhere but i think jesus said this, the way it said 'be sure of that' it's like jesus is very aware of the tactics and sort of warning the people.

You didn't ask for suggestions, but here are a few that are more on the rock end.

Skillet is a very well known Christian rock band. They headline both Christian music events as well as playing at many secular hard rock festivals.

Thousand Foot Krutch - also plays both Christian and secular events. Songs are always consistent with Christian worldview, sometimes the Christian background is a little less obvious than with Skillet though it is there as in this and many of their songs.

Red - they identify as a Christian band; songs are not overt in their belief but the spiritual themes are there. Musically they fringe on metal at times, darker themed hard rock at others. Songs often go into the struggles people face.

thank you ill check them, imagine replacing normal rock playlist with a christian fueled rock metal playlist lol surely that's of the light in a way but maybe not sinless due to the aggressiveness.

A whole different topic for sure, but I would present that a style of music is not sinful - though lots of people have argued that through the years to support their own personal preferences. Enjoy what you learn in your musical journey, and choose what draws you closer to Christ.
