This is a problem. By saying this you are in fact stating that your beliefs are not rational. They are emotion based at best.

God is God. I have no need to test God. Satan wanted Jesus to test God when Jesus was in the desert at the very beginning of His ministry after He was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River near Jerusalem.

Mathew 4:6-7

The best proof for God is in His Son Jesus.
The best proof for Jesus is in the resurrection...
but it can't be scientifically proven...
It can only be proven with our spirit...that part of us that connects with God, our maker.

LOL, I seriously doubt if my tablet has ever sinned. And there is a reason that all religions tend to tell you not to test their version of God. That should tell you something. Science is the opposite. Testing is encouraged. Disproving ideas is a goal since we can only learn by showing what is wrong with what we know today. Science has a built in self correction device that drives it ever onward. You should see what we were using for computers in the 1970's.

The resurrection is not "proof". It is a belief. Many people do not fully understand what evidence or "proof" is. That is why they are subject to such beliefs. And these beliefs are incredibly varied. Look at the countless different versions of theism all with their own "God". As the saying goes, only one of them can be right, but all of them can be wrong.

Sounds intriguing. For too many years I avoided ravioli because as a child I ate Chef Boyardee "ravioli". I have never eaten dog food, but it seriously tasted to me that way I imagined dog good would taste. Many years later I tried some real ravioli and realized what I had been missing.

I started to Google search "Black ravioli" but realized what it was before I hit return. I have never had it but it sounds good.

I could not cook that for my brother and his family since they are Seventh Day Adventists.

I make my own...it's easy. I add black octopus ink for the color (put it in the egg and water). The filling is also easy...very little mashed potatoes and lots of chopped up boiled fish and shrimp..add parsely, garlick and some type of cheese (mozzarella, emental).

I don't know what 7th Day Adventists cannot eat.
God said we could eat anything...It's what goes out of the mouth that counts..not what goes into it.

But I understand now what you mean by different types of God....Yeah. I have a feeling He's going to be a little upset with all these denominations!

Seventh Day Adventists follow the OT dietary laws. One must remember that almost belief can be justified by using the Bible, and probably is.

At any rate squid, octopus and cuttlefish, various sources of the ink used for black pasta, are all "unclean". Though I don't agree with it I won't knowingly break their dietary rules.

If you don't think that scientist are abandoning this idea and moving on to others, there's no reason why it should be proven.

I can see that you have a problem with evolution. But as far as Genesis goes the entire book is allegory at best. None of it is factual.

Some would call Adam and Eve a myth.
God used different ways of saying the truth...
There was a first man and a first woman...
I don't know if their names were Adam and Eve.

It teaches us about sin...Atheists don't believe in sin.
I told someone on this thread that his tablet (which wasn't working well) in infected by the sin that entered into the world (evil). His response was that his tablet doesn't sin.

There's a fundamental misunderstanding between Christians and everyone else. Some like to ridicule Christianity, which is interesting, because it offers more answers than science does...

Not that I think there should be a war between the two,,but atheists are determined to prove there is no God.

I do wonder why at times.

Every such list I have ever known a creationist to post has been fraudulent. Surprise me.

It might be useful in any case as a basis for discussion. Some of us are having a hard time figuring out where you are coming from. You evidently are not a biblical literalist, but still reject the theory of evolution. We are having a hard time understanding why.
