The more-than-400-page report names 10 onetime close aides or other government officials who refused to carry out requests Trump made that may have violated the law.

"The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests," Mueller wrote on Page 158 of the report.

Interesting... Donald might be facing impeachment already if he only inspired the kind of loyalty he demands...

That was surprising. McGahn and the others might have been more decent than many of us had initially believed.

It's sad that despite all the propaganda about Donny being "strong" and "manly" (not so much on here but elsewhere), he really needs babysitters that keep him from sticking a fork into wall outlets. Even more sad is the fact that this is seen by many as "normal".

If only those people who were instructed to spy on political opponents and to use Clinton campaign fabrications on the FISA applications had declined to do so, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.....

You heard how the investigation was not based on "the dossier", right?

Stewed, chicken-fried or roasted?

Yeah, the collusion thing is dead, but the case for corruption and obstruction is just getting started. It's really pretty bad for poor Donald.

Nothing will become of it. It's over.

Sounds less like someone confidently stating "It's over" than
Naked Gun Panic GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

We know it's not over because the report laid out impeachable offenses, and Democrats can't - and shouldn't - let that go.

Also: "failed to establish" collusion != "it did not occur". But I think the Donny supporters here are well aware of this and are just trying to muddy the waters (and gaslight Democrats by saying "It's over; you're all conspiracy theorists!"). The report proved this isn't true.

Whatabout! Whatabout! Whatabout!

So sorry, the "Everything is Clinton's fault" thread is somewhere else. This thread is about Donald ordering his cronies to act illegally, and their refusal to do so.

It should be noted, however, that most of the cronies on the list were fired shortly thereafter...

...but that's probably a coincidence.

Now, why is that?

He is Teflon only to those individuals and groups that are willing to overlook his faults which are many and grievous.

Thoughts?

There are a myriad of examples of behavior that should, at least, warrant impeachment. However, I implore people to begin at p. 168 of Volume 2 of the Mueller report - which states

"In sum, in light of the breadth of Section 1512(c)(2) and other obstruction statutes, an argument that the conduct at issue in the investigation falls outside the scope of the obstruction laws lacks merit."
... now we get that someone resigned because Trump wanted him to "do crazy $#$@". This is at the very least the best reality TV show so far.

That number seems to grow - before, out of intrigue and faith in a man - now out of spite for the lot who predicted his egregious legacy to come, and to hide the egg on their face.

He is the man who now represents the Republican Party and the Christian Right who voted for him. The Republican Party can never again honestly claim to be the political party of Christian morality and ethics or of biblical family values because of Trump and because of the continued devotion he has from his conservative Christian supporters. Despite his obvious unethical and unchristian behavior, he has unwavering devotion from his conservative Christian supporters. He definitely knows his voting base because he said “They say I have the most loyal people, where I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It's like incredible" (Donald Trump: They say I could ‘shoot somebody’ and still have support). I'm sad to say that I think he's right.

And sadly, there has been a lot of negative reactions to his Christian supporters' unwavering devotion toward him and it seems to have really marred Evangelical Christianity in the process. There have been numerous articles with very critical content and titles like "the great Evangelical compromise," "Evangelicals abandon their principles," "Evangelical convictions for sell," "Evangelicals sell their souls for Trump," and other articles like the following: Trump-Loving Christians Owe Bill Clinton an Apology and Evangelicals slammed Bill Clinton's sexual misconduct. So why does Trump get a pass?

Deflecting back to Hillary Clinton or to Bill Clinton or to Barack Obama or to any other liberal politician still breathing air has been their ad nauseam debate tactic since Trump was still campaigning.

If Donald Trump was still a Democrat or associated with any other political party, then he wouldn't have any hint of the unwavering devoted support he has from the Republicans who defend him now. He would be repeatedly condemned for his apparent attempts to obstruct justice by the Republicans who are fervently defending him. In fact, if he had stuck to his Democratic political beliefs instead of pretending to be a Republican, he wouldn't be the champion President of the Republican Party now.
