I noticed that many Christians spend thousands on dogs and pets while contributing very little to the work of missionary and the kingdom of God.!
Basically, who has internet, has also access to every possible knowledge about God, Christ, salvation etc. In few clicks.

Many "missionaries" just want to make fortune from Christians and the outcome of their missions is questionable.

A couple things to consider:

We are tasked by God to take care of the Earth and that includes animals/pets. If an animal in your care is sick and needs medical care that you have money for then it is your responsibility to make sure that your pet gets well again. To do otherwise and continue to let the suffer knowingly is foolishness and doesn't please God.

Do not deprive your pets of the care and necessities they need to survive and be happy under your care. But do not spend wastefully on them or overindulge them either. That is also foolishness and potentially dangerous to your pet's health.

I have also noticed a lot of people spending thousands on sex and drugs and a fast life style to but there never a issue of topic. lol. Joke

But in truth if you have the money you need to give it to the poor, not charity as it is the poor we are instructed to give to.

But if you care more for your pets then people, that in its self is a problem already and I think they all need some sort of human counseling.

Our pets are our pets man... I guess you maybe don't understand that though...

God Bless!

Would you say that most animals are more "innocent" than we are...? Y/N...?

Or become our innocent victims, or innocent victims of us, much of the time...? Yes or No...?

God Bless!

You have a personal ongoing relationship with your pets, kind of like having kids sometimes or something, you learn their personality, they learn yours, and you guys have a "relationship"... Some might call it a bond, ect...

Like my cat, he's awesome, but he a little turd too, young male indoor cat indoors with me, I could go on about him, but some might think it might be a very simple relationship, but when their like, for example, your service or companion animal, sometimes the "relationship" can be actually quite complicated and even (sometimes very, depends) challenging sometimes... I say He's a little turd, but he's my turd... And they all have different personalities too, have you noticed that, their each very unique in a way, much like us... I've had cats before, and this one's a little bit different...

Anyway,

God Bless!

I swear he thinks he's the master sometimes, seems totally selfish and self-centered sometimes, and it's all about him, his terms, timing, ect... Definitely a young male tomcat... (2 years old)...

But then again, I spoil, and have probably spoiled the crap out of him from a kitten, so who's fault is that, right...?

Anyway, what's your beef with companion animals...? I just don't think you understand...

God Bless!

My opinion is if we have pets then we have taken on the responsibility to care for them properly.
I can't stand how it is often used to try to make people feel somehow guilty but as far as I am concerned my pets are also my family and to many people, their only companions. (me included).

The only problem I have with people spending huge amounts is when its on silly things like pets clothing (wardrobes of stuff) and things like that because I don't think the animals even like it.
When all is said and done though, its not my business how people spend their money.

My animals are a precious blessing from God.

Sometimes, this leads to uncertainity of what is good.

Lets say that a fox has to feed her young ones and tries to kill a rabbit who has also young ones dependent on her.

Now what... Should we care, should we help, somehow?

Do you think that is in any way linked to animals being sacrificed or anything...?

But animals do kill and eat there own so, lol.

Some do... But not very many of them though, actually... Most don't, or won't usually... under normal circumstances, ect...

God Bless!

You are not the fox or the rabbit's owner, therefore you are not responsible for helping or hindering them in that situation. However, you are responsible for taking care of and not destroying the environment in which foxes and rabbits live or you risk endangering, killing, or hurting both of them.

You do not go to nature, you do not help animals there, when you see them in some problem?

I also have a pet rat... Name's Bob... He's not doing very well right now, getting old and has had a couple problems and I've been having to take care of him daily now ever since, he's getting old for a pet rat, and probably does have much time left (anyway), he seems to be now kind of paralyzed in his hind end or back legs, and he's a fat rat to boot, and that may not help, I've fed and took care of him too well, I guess...

I had to make a decision too, his breathing seems labored and faster now, and I wondered if he was suffering, ect, and considered some of the "options", so to put it, and/or/but ultimately decided to just take care of him, here, till he goes, ultimately...

I'd swear he's one of the most gentle creatures on this planet, loves people and human hands, getting petted, touch, ect... Oh, and treats, let's not forget the treats, (that might have made him so fat) (anyway)...

He's still seems pretty active though, for a rat that can't move his hind end or legs very well, and he's eating and drinking still good (pooping and peeing, ect) (sorry)...

I don't know, we'll just have to see I guess, and I've decided to just care for him and take care of him in the meantime...

I have to give him baths pretty regularly, which he lets me do without complaint, and keep his cage and bedding under him and around dry and clean, ect, pretty regularly now, he had an "abscess" that I had to take care of and still have to keep clean now also, and I'll spare you the details of that, at least...

But, He let me do it, he squeaked and squealed a bit at times, but I'd pet him and he'd clam down, and he never once tried to bite me, ever... Never ever has, ect... Or anyone else either... He loves people, all people... And frankly, I'm surprised he did not at least "try" or try it, from what I was putting him through, ect, but, nope...

I'm telling you he's a very, very gentle, very harmless, and right now, pretty defenseless creature really as well, right now...

I don't think I'll get another one after him cause I just don't know if I'll ever have another one just like him, ect... I had a couple pet rats growing up, but I don't think any of them were quite like him though...

So, I have two very unique animals I guess...

I know, I know, "How do the cat and the rat get along, ha, ha", I get it all the time, well, they can see each other but his cage is a reptile tank, with triple latches, there is just no way they can even accidentally get to each other ever... oh, I tried to introduce them before, but my cat kinda just acted like he wanted to eat him, so, I just keep them separate now...

God Bless!

Not only do I spend money on our own dog (and cat)....but we also contribute to a dog (and cat, and horse) rescue organization that I believe is very effective in sharing God's love and restoration/healing with people. People that have only heard about a legalistic and judgy God, are open and receptive to learn and experience - through animals - about the genuine love and healing that comes from God. This is the place:

Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue – All Breeds, All Creeds, Welcome!

They have an excellent prison outreach. Inmates learn a lot about compassion and responsibility - and gain a sense of confidence through working with animals. This is another prison program that works with animals - dairy cows:

A fox hunting a rabbit is a natural process of this fallen world. If you intervene then the fox and her young may die and the rabbit population could get out of control and cause more unpleasant circumstances. Not one rabbit dies at the hand of a fox without God knowing of it. Now if a fox is stuck in a trap or a rabbit is trying to escape a wildfire, it is good and right to help them if you can because your actions will have positive consequences (and most wildfires are caused by human irresponsibility).
