What does the Book of Hebrews say about animal sacrifices?

Heb 10:8 Previously saying, "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING, BURNT OFFERINGS, AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU DID NOT DESIRE, NOR HAD PLEASURE IN THEM" (which are offered according to the law),
Heb 10:9 then He said, "BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD." He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
Heb 10:12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
Heb 10:13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Heb 10:15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
Heb 10:16 "THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM," (From the promise of the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34)
Heb 10:17 then He adds, "THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
Heb 10:18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. You seem to be comparing apples to oranges.

Personally, I see offering animal sacrifices to God after the crucifixion of Christ as a particularly detestable act, but Jews don't accept his sacrifice so the letter to the Hebrews doesn't apply to them. Some Jews, even in modern day New York City, offer sacrifices on an individual basis.

It's both sad and exciting. Sad because they are missing the Feast of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ and cannot be partakers of the Lord's Supper. But exciting because the sacrifices must resume before the Anti-Christ can abolish them (Daniel 12:11) and setup the "abomination that causes desolation" of the wicked. Prophecy is being fulfilled, and it ends in the Glory of God.

does the death on the cross occupy all those sacrifices? in reference to animal sacrifices which ones did you have in mind?

It could pertain to the Nazarite vow.

In Acts 21:26, we see Paul taking four men to the Temple who were under the vow and participated in the offering for each one of them. According to Numbers 6:14, part of that sacrifice was a one-year old lamb as a sin offering, one as a burnt offering, and a ram as a peace offering.

Heb_8:13 In that He says, "A NEW COVENANT," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Heb_9:15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Yes, when the sin is removed and rejected, there is no reason for offerings for sin. But it also means person should be righteous after that. :)

...He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn't do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn't love his brother.

The Destruction of Jerusalem - George Peter Holford, 1805AD

3. "As the High Priest were leading a heifer to the altar to be sacrificed, she brought forth a lamb, in the midst of the temple." Such is the strange account given by the historian. Some may regard it as a "Grecian fable," while others may think that they discern in this prodigy a miraculous rebuke of Jewish infidelity and impiety, for rejecting the ANTITYPICAL Lamb, who had offered Up Himself as an atonement, "once for all," and who, by thus completely fulfilling their design, had virtually abrogated the Levitical sacrifices. However this may be, the circumstances of the prodigy are remarkable. It did not occur in an obscure part of the city, but in the temple ; not at an ordinary time, but at the passover, the season of our LORD'S crucifixion in the presence, not of the vulgar merely, but of the High Priests and their attendants, and when they were leading the sacrifice to the altar...................

And this was happening just before the Romans came upon the City. How many Priests were in Jerusalem?

................The three factions, rendered frantic by drunkenness, rage, and desperation, trampling on heaps of slain, fought against each other with brutal savageness and madness. Even such as brou't sacrifices to the temple were murdered. The dead bodies of priests and worshippers, both natives and foreigners were heaped together, and a lake of blood stagnated in the sacred courts. John of Gischala, who headed one of the factions, burnt storehouses full of provisions ; and Simon, his great antagonist, who headed another of them, soon afterwards followed his example............

For five days after the destruction of the Temple, the priests who had escaped, sat, pining with hunger, on the top of one of its broken walls; at length, they came down, and humbly asked the pardon of Titus, which, however, he refused to grant them, saying, that, "as the Temple, for the sake of which he would have spared them, was destroyed, it was but fit that its priests should parish also:" -whereupon he commanded that they should be put to death. .........

3 Behold, I will rebuke your offspring,a and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it

And Jesus coming out, departed from the Temple.
2 And Jesus said to them, “ are ye not seeing all these? Amen I am saying to ye, not no may be being left here stone upon stone, which not shall be being thrown-down<2647>.”:

Micah 6:6 "With what shall I come before the Lord, And bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old? 7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, Ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God."

I find the idea of animal sacrifice to be quite distasteful but when people are convinced of a religious belief, they can be induced to do almost anything. The Aztecs were convinced that a human sacrifice was needed every day to make the sun rise tomorrow.

There are many more sacrifices that are NOT about sins.
I see no conflict on those sacrifices with the Sacrifice of our Lord.

Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Mat_27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Mar_15:38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

Luk_23:45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

What man or woman can repair the damage to the veil, which God has ripped in half?

and why doesn't Christ occupy the sin, burnt and peace offering? the first two are about sin so it's easy to apply to Christ but the peace offering is unique, an animal is sacrificed then is shared in fellowship as a meal. But isn't Christ also sacrificed and shared in fellowship in communion? Is not Christ the peace offering? Paul's action in Acts 21 are to reach the Jews and to show that he is not telling Jews to reject their heritage

It seems fairly apparent why Paul did what he did. The real question is how do we incorporate the same into our world today with sacrifices being renewed. Seems like Paul himself was under the same Nazarite vow long after he became a believer as well (Acts 18:18). Too many today would immediately condemn him for it.

I have had friends who shaved their head, but it had nothing to do with sacrifices.
