Why are the Democrats in Congress not supporting Israel?

It is anomalous in the sense that the left wing throughout the world tends to be very much pro-Palestinian. So, in a sense, whenever the mainstream left wing is overtly supporting Israel a lot, it is strange.

I have heard from a German friend, though, that the German left is also unusually pro-Israel -- for obvious reasons.

I am an American citizen but have lived in South Korea for the last 14 years, both of my degrees are from Korean universities, etc., so I am connected to both countries very much. I am contemplating becoming a Korean citizen.

I can say it's irrelevant. The powderkeg may have been there all along; the US is the one that lit it.

That in and of itself won't do anything -- however, our administration continues to make one policy decision after another seemingly intended to provoke them further.

I'm curious as to why.
