Tiger Woods Takes the Masters in a Win for the Ages
Tiger Woods's comeback from personal and professional adversity is complete: He captured his fifth Masters title and his 15th major tournament on Sunday, snapping a championship drought of nearly 11 years.

It was a monumental triumph for Woods, who had not won a major championship since his personal life began to unravel on Thanksgiving night in 2009, when a marital dispute led to a car accident and a succession of lurid tabloid headlines. On the golf course, he had a series of back and leg injuries that led to an addiction to painkillers and culminated in pain so searing that, before surgery in 2017, he had questioned whether he could play professionally again.

Some people, my wife and I included, hate to see people mess up their personal lives so publicly. That's why I ignore the personal lives of public figures, pretty much. Personally, I'm happy he made it back, and I think his trials over the last decade and his determination are admirable.

Seriously this.

I don't care about your politics, your background, where you come from, or even if I like you or not.

Your personal life is your personal life and it should not be paraded on TV for all the world to see.

I wish as a society we weren't such ghouls when it comes to the personal lives of celebrities and people of power...

I've always admired Tiger Woods, and glad he is finally back on top. Hope he goes on another epic run...

That's good news, I am surprised he was able to do that. Injuries are actually very common in golf, it isn't as easy as people think it is. Annika Sorenstam also had to cut her career short due to a neck injury, so this is surprisingly common.

A properly executed deadlift is less of a threat to ones spine than a properly executed golf swing in my less than expert opinion.

In general you would be correct. The stress involved with rotating the spine with explosive movements thousands of times, can produce issues. Core strength and the dynamics of one's swing, also can vary.

this isn't about tiger woods whom is a private citizen but in the case of politicians, in particular, that tout their personal lives about how good or religious or whatever they are compared to others i think it's more than fair to examine them with a microscope.
