The Rapture Is God's 10% Cut

Jesus Christ talked about an event called 'The Rapture ' where he would return to gather up his faithful, both dead and alive (hint : a DNA harvest), just before mankind's final judgment that is depicted in the Book of Revelation.

Consider, that Jesus Christ said that this world is not of his kingdom, therefore any involvement by Jesus Christ has to be compared to that of an agent come to act on behalf of some other person who holds true ownership of the property. God the Father is that other person and Jesus Christ, God's only Son - God become man, is liken to a steward that arrives to collect rent due to the landowner, to collect God's 10%.

When God created this world he took 10% for himself which he called the Garden of Eden. God then placed a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the middle of the Garden which is again God's 10%.

Throughout the Bible the same 10% is seen in every story. When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt God was again taking his 10%. When God showed the Israelites the Promised Land it was only 10% of the region.

In fact, God left visual evidence of his 10% 'cut' when, after the destruction of the Temple, God left his 10% cut of the Temple called 'The Western Wall'! This 10% is a visual reminder of the amount of people who will be raptured when Jesus Christ returns to gather up his faithful, God's 10% cut, just before all the events in the Book of Revelation begin to unfold.

One would naturally ask, "Why should we give God 10% and why would God expect 10%?" Since God made us in his image, and we now possess God's knowledge of Good and Evil, we should feel obligated to offer God at least the 10% he asks by going to church and leaving an offering.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross he represented God's 10% requirement for all of mankind as punishment for their sins for all those who ask for forgiveness.

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to ensure that you are included in God's 10% 'cut' who will be with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, in heaven forever!

Note: I used the common number 10% to reflect God's cut. But God determines the actual percentage in every individual biblical event. Additionally the United States of America is Jesus Christ's promised land and is 10% in size of the known world, once again God's 10% cut!

Also, notice that the New Covenant includes the Heart and Mind but not the flesh. The Heart and Mind are once again God's 10% cut. The flesh is that part that will be thrown into hell unless it is transformed into a new body at the rapture.

Another point: Jesus Christ's 12 disciples are symbolic of the 12 tribes of Israel. Each one of the 12 disciples are representative of God's 10% cut from each tribe. Once Judas, who was possessed by Satan, betrayed Christ (hint: the first commandment was broken) then God's 10% cut, and the Old Covenant, was forever broken leading to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ - God's only Son - God become man. The events during Christ's Passion are similar to the events in the Garden of Eden but this time Satan tempted the man instead of the woman.

God Bless

How did you come up with the belief that the United States is Christ's promised land? He was born king of the Jews so Israel is the land that belongs to him.

I would like more data to show the "10%" actuary... interesting thought.

Christ takes the body of believers out (meeting in the air) prior to the tribulation... as the trib is for His wrath upon the Jewish people for not keeping the Jubilees. (It is all in the Book. )

Could you please post some verses where Jesus said He is coming back for the rapture to save His people?

I can't think of any.
Jesus never spoke of the rapture and neither did any prophet who came before him. At his last meeting with his disciples before his death he did tell them that the Holy Spirit would reveal new truth to them that they weren't yet ready for.

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
John 16:12-14 ESV
Some of these truths were revealed through the apostle Paul.

When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
Ephesians 3:4-6 ESV
One of the things revealed was that the church would be removed from the earth by the rapture.

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53 ESV

Yes He did; He said such a thing as people going to heaven, was impossible:
John 3:13 No one goes to heaven, except the One who came from there.

John 7:34 Where I go, you cannot come....

John 8:21-23 Your home is on earth......

John 17:15 I do not pray for You to take My followers out of the world, but keep them from the evil one.

Revelation 2:25-26 Hold fast to what you have until I Return. To those who are Victorious, to those who persevere in doing My will until the end, I will give them authority over the nations. Revelation 5:9-10

Nowhere here does Jesus talk about "the rapture." Nice try but no cigar.

I'm fond of saying that proper interpretation should take into account context and when, where and to whom the passage is being spoken about. Applying those hermeneutic principles to these verses reveals that they are not non-rapture verses at all.

John 3:13 No one goes to heaven, except the One who came from there.

In the King James it is: "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."

In context, Jesus here is arguing the difference between being born in the flesh and being born in the spirit, and that none of these earthly men can understand these spiritual matters from a fleshly perspective. Only Christ himself at this point has been in heaven and come down from heaven. He is speaking of specific knowledge to specific people at a specific time.

John 7:34 Where I go, you cannot come....

John 8:21-23 Your home is on earth......

These two I was going to argue that they too are not non-rapture passages, but it turns out they actually are. Applying the correct hermeneutic of to whom Jesus is speaking we see that he is talking to the Pharisees, the ones who relied on their religiosity for salvation; and about whom Jesus said later in that same passage (context) that their father is the devil (John 8:44).

So, yes, indeed, these men to whom Jesus was addressing would not be able to follow him to heaven -- unless they accepted his gift of salvation, of course, as Paul did later.

John 17:15 I do not pray for You to take My followers out of the world, but keep them from the evil one.

I remember answering this one already elsewhere. Again, context and to whom it is being spoken are what's in view here:

In the long prayer in John 17 Christ first prays to the Father about His ministry on earth.

Then Jesus turns His prayer to praying for His disciples. Jesus knew His disciples would be experiencing persecutions, that the world would hate them. He prays that although He is no longer to be in the world, His disciples must remain behind to continue their commission.

He goes on to pray that while He was in the world He kept them and none were lost.

Then: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil." IOW let them continue to preach the word to the world, but protect them.

Why?: "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me."

In summary, Jesus knew He was leaving. He knew His disciples would be persecuted. He prayed for the Father to keep them safely in the world to continue the Great Commission, because the world needed to hear the word and to believe in Him.

Jesus was praying for a select, specific few -- His disciples -- about their time they had left to preach on this physical world.

Revelation 2:25-26 Hold fast to what you have until I Return. To those who are Victorious, to those who persevere in doing My will until the end, I will give them authority over the nations. Revelation 5:9-10

This is a post-end times passage referring to after the rapture and the Great Tribulation. Jesus promises that those who overcome the false teachings in their church will reign with him and have authority alongside him (2Timothy 2:11-13).

It's about rewards and position in the New Heaven and New Earth. Something to keep in mind is that the church of Thyatira, like the six others in Rev chapters 2 and 3, is represented by many of the churches and denominations on earth today. Jesus clearly speaks of false teachings and warns only those who are able to overcome false teachings will reap rewards.

It's a lesson to be learned.

I agree with you except for 1 Corinthians 15:51-53
which speaks of the resurrection of the dead when they receive their glorified bodies.

I don't hear any talk here about a rapture.

Jesus is coming back one time for His church...at the end of the world.

He mentioned it in the gospels regarding the angels gathering the elect and he also taught it to Paul so Paul could speak of it in letter to the Thessalonians.

Chapter and verse please.

Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Hello ewk,

I'm going to have to rescind my "Agree" tag on your post #17. :)

The Matthew passages are at the end of the Great Tribulation. And the Thessalonian passages describe the rapture pre-tribulation. It's easy to see the difference between "tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory," and Jesus coming to snatch up the church, and only the church can see him and hear the shout. The tribes of the earth don't mourn during the rapture because they don't know it's happening until they see people are missing.

No need to get into a debate about this ... it's been gone over many, many times and we still hold to our beliefs. Right? We can just agree to disagree and let the topic continue on. OK?
