It's a talisman. There's no physical reason to expect them to work. Anyone who uses them has to know that. If they did work, then you're talking about a supernatural force other than God, and that's not something you want to play with.

Hi Family,

What is your view biblically on healing crystals?

~Natsumi Lam~
Healing crystals.

These are basically rocks that program the body's energy to act differently.

It's an elementary form of magic, so not for a Christian.

My wife's sister sent her a crystal for her birthday. We agreed to treat it just as an ornament even though we know that it can be used for occult purposes. My wife noticed that when her sister's partner had terminal cancer he was swinging a crystal over himself for its healing powers.

So I bound any intrinsic demonic influence in that crystal just in case someone somewhere had chanted a New Age incantation over it. Having that done, I know it is just a pretty piece of glass now.

They're just rocks. No ability to promote or cause healing.

But for those who believe otherwise, they're the equivalent of idols.

If they have been ritually dedicated (offered to an Idol = demon) then they will not be spiritually neutral.

Just tell any spirit associated with the object that it has no place in your environment and to be bound and to depart, never to return in Jesus name. (this is not prayer it is a proclamation.)

Blessings,

Carl Emerson.

There is nothing whatsoever biblical about crystal healing at best they are pretty rocks.

At worst which I think is what you are meaning by calling them "healing crystals" they are used in occultic practices which is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in the Bible and have no place in a Christian's life.

Jesus nor the disciples never bound any demons. The term "bound" in the Bible is only a metaphor, not literal.

There's even one instance the demons bargained with Christ and Christ accepted the bargain. That's in the Bible by the way. The relationship between Jesus and the demons are more or less cordial based on the Bible. Even Jude confirms that even demons must be treated with some respect.

Such and such that even the Pharisees thought that Jesus is in league with the devil

The literal bouding of demons isn't taught in the Bible. However, it is taught in the Occult. But with less ideal consequences in the afterlife. If you actually managed to bound a demon and when you die, they will be released and come back for you. This is playing with fire.

Ironically, Jude warned against those who will treat the celestial beings (including demons) with slander or disrespect that we should avoid them as they bring false teaching. Beware if your church teaches that we could say all bad stuff about the demons or the devil don't know what they're doing. They probably don't even read the Bible.

There's something a lot lot more about crystals....

Remember the semiconductor components in a computer are actually crystalline matter (artificial crystalization). Often made of Silicon - the Earth's primary material....

If your digital gizmos ever act out, you should now realize why :) Not everything we imagine to be harmless will remain harmless. It will come back to us eventually.

Off topic.

I think at least two people said the word "bound". Our religion is dangerously misguided about this concept and just wish to say my piece.

And association of demons with crystals and occult, I think I'm well on topic! :)

There are 2 biblical protocols for divine healing, Mark 16 for unbelievers and James 5 for believers. That is beyond the general promise of healing for being in covenant with God which is repeated several places in both testaments.

“By His stripes we were healed.”

OTOH, Acts 15 clearly states we are to avoid anything contaminated by idols; and Paul tells us that the power behind idols is demonic. So anyone who has done a New Age or Wiccan spell over a crystal makes it like an idol with a demonic power behind it.

IOW, stay away from that use of crystals; FAR away.

There the danger of the thread taking a sideline that was not intended by the OP. If you want to develop the topic of whether we should or should not bind demons then you are quite free to start your own thread, and then there can be a very productive discussion about that topic.

Because you gave an advice to bind demons that might be present in crystals.

The topic is about crystals.

To me, the ritual of binding demons is dangerous so I have jump in and share what I know.

The context of "binding" among the ancient Jews is quite different than what we modern Christians know. It's not even remotely similar.

Your parenthetical statement reminded me of a question I asked myself this week.
When should we turn something over to God (in prayer) for his help and when should we use our authority? (make a proclamation)

Answer: Use your authority when you are on kingdom business. Like confronting crystals. We shouldn't be asking God if it is okay to "use" them.

Exodus 23:24
Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.

Exodus 34:12-14
Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. 13 Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles. 14 Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 12:2-4
Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. 3 Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places. 4 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way.

1 Kings 14:22-24
Judah did evil in the eyes of the Lord. By the sins they committed they stirred up his jealous anger more than those who were before them had done. 23 They also set up for themselves high places, sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree. 24 There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

2 Kings 18:4
He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)
