Recently someone posted a two-hour video of an atheist debating Kent Hovind.

The atheist started his rant describing the [human] authors of the Bible as 'ignorant.'

I disagree.

If you make a ratio of knowledge acquired to knowledge available, it's hard to call them "ignorant."

What the atheist was doing, was comparing knowledge acquired back then, with knowledge on hand now.

And that's not a fair comparison.

Let's see a scientist ... any scientist ... make a boomerang without the use of computers.

Not sure how to post the evidence of me doing exactly that back when I was 12. However I did (we didn't have computers back then anyway).

Might I suggest you find a better analogy?

I love your challenges Phil!

I don't know K H. I wonder how many replace the H with a B in his name for spite or fun LOL

Anyway, I was looking for short vid by him and came across this one, then scrolled thru the comments. Uh oh...............

I've heard he's out of prison, now. May he continue his creation evangelism, and may God bless him.

Hovind free from jail, back in Pensacola

Local evangelist Kent Hovind has been released from federal prison and is back in Pensacola. Hovind served about nine years of a 10-year prison sentence after being convicted of failing to withhold employee income taxes and “structuring” bank withdrawals to avoid reporting requirements.Jul 10, 2015

In the context of where life came from the authors of the Bible are ignorant, and that is what needs to be remembered. In the context of V8 engine maintenance the authors of the Bible are ignorant too. It is not a slur or personal attack against them to point out that they do not know what they are not expected to know. But it does show that a person is more than disingenuous if one treats the Bible as a scientific source.

There are an amazing number of errors, moments of idiocy, and outright lies in that video. He starts out with a lie about Darwin And it does not get any better. You need to remember that Hovind is a convicted tax cheat that could not follow the Bible in regards to taxation. It appears that he follows the Bible only when it is convenient.

To be Fair, in any debate, ancient man would likely win.
They's not be so foolish as to try and make the point
that folks leading a simple life are less sophisticated
or intelligent.

One of the most sophisticated and personable people
I've ever known kept the company of pigs as his career.

You could use just a little bit of work on that.
Not gonna happen.

Treating the Bible as a science source is like treating Bill Gate's diary as a computer manual.

Then we do not accept the parts of the Bible as literally occurring when it is clear that they did not. They still work as allegory. They do not work as history.

Then what does it matter if I treat the Bible as a science book or not?

If it didn't happen, it didn't happen.

If it didn't happen, it didn't happen.
But too often you treat things that did not happen as if they did.

Tell me what do you think of the Flat Earth believers? Their translations are accurate.

Allegory still works as Truth.
