I firmly believe that John Lennon's voice when The Beatles performed Twist and Shout at the 1963 Royal Variety Performance is the best voice I'll ever hear. It's like something from another universe.
You know, I've had similar thoughts. What I'm wondering is why we never really got to hear that kind of range or sound from him in other recordings. It's like he put a whole other kind of voice to that song.

I like to think it's what Heavy Metal would've sounded like if we had it in the early 60s. Lol

I know. And it's a voice that'll NEVER be duplicated either, which is poignant in its own way - ha, I guess it just makes Twist and Shout even MORE special.

It must have strained his vocal chords a bit too much for him to be interested in ever doing it again.

I remember playing Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on Sega Genesis. My sister would take control of tails and we would defeat Dr. Robotnik together. I also remember a few of the cartoons from the late 1990's. I was flabbergasted by the fact that there are cartoons based on video games at the time.
Hahaha, look at Sonic! ^_^ Thank you so much!:hug::hug:

I bet that was fun. :) I remember playing Sonic games with my brother sometimes.
I remember playing Sonic at a friend's house, after his mom took a bunch of us to see Terminator 2: Judgment Day on the big screen. Sonic has been around for a while.

Young Adult. :)

Have you read a book called Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo?

Ah. YA I am quite familiar with, then. ^-^

What is Six of Crows about, if you do not mind taking the time to tell us? :)

Well I'm not too sure. :sorry: I'm subscribed to a few book reviewers on youtube and they all highly recommend it. I just looked at the synopsis and it says it takes place in a dystopia kind of like Vegas and the "6 of crows" is in reference to the 6 outcasts that are to do a heist in a hotel.

I'm new to young adult and fantasy books so I wanted to read something that a lot of other people had read to more immerse myself in the genres.

I just finished The Young Elites and it was really good, am glad it's a trilogy so there's more to read. lol

Does anyone read a lot of YA/Fantasy books?
I’ve read several series. (I typically prefer it over most “adult” literature.) I haven’t read Six of Crows. Let us know if it’s any good.
It’s funny, I was just talking about how popular the dystopian genre is lately.

I will have to check out the Young Elites series. Is that also YA fantasy?

I generally prefer Fantasy and YA, so I can always share a list of suggestions that I personally enjoyed.

Good morning, everyone, my CF single peeps.

Trying to stay awake for a few hours longer now even though I worked last night. Otherwise I will never sleep long enough to be up at a proper time before next shift, without having to worry about staying awake long enough to make it through. ... Not only seven days in a row, but 24-hour turnaround times in the midst of them suuuuuuck. =/

Relationships.

The kind of woman I like is both young at heart and an old soul. An outlier. Kind of quirky, and maybe a little shy at times, but not jaded or disheveled. Fully human, yet pleasant enough to be around. Somebody who has a sense of humor about life, and would judge her own actions long before she'd think about judging others.

There would of course be things like mutual attraction, both of us being single, not having kids from other relationships etc. Those are relatively easy to find compared what I mentioned above.

Even if somebody from the future was to travel back in time with the news that I'll never marry, I'd rest easy in the fact that at least I kept things in perspective and knew what I wanted.

I think FB's starting to limit the amount of times a user can reload his/her timeline page for new postings. It's a little aggravating, but I understand that's whats going to happen when a service is virtually free and the only thing that I have to pay is my privacy and personal info.

Mysterious "informative" ratings have been appearing on certain posts on the forums lately. A ghost must be roaming Singles again, matching various single members at his choosing. :eheh:
