Apart from believing the gospel tou cannot recieve Christ. That's not a few isolated texts, it's all over the New Testament. Now I don't know if unbelievers nessacaily go to hell, God only knows what motive might be behind it. I think it unlikely a person can know Christ in a personal way and reject the gospel, but doubting certain things in the Bible doesn't make you a child of perdition.

Deu 6:5 and thou hast loved Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might,

Jesus said it was the first commandment.

Mat 22:37 And Jesus said to him, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thine understanding--

That is what being 'born again in Christ' means, in our hearts and in our lives.
And you actually think these verses me to "accept Christ into your heart"?

Maybe if you gave us an example. For example, sin. What does the bible teach about "born again believers" who willingly sin:

Heb 10:26 - For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

copyChkboxOff.gif
Heb 10:27 - but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

But then you mention Romans. Romans addresses apostasy:

Rom 11:22 - Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

But maybe you mean something else.

I believe those Hebrew verses were referring to those who have heard the word but have rejected the Messiah. "there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,"; If one rejects Jesus Christ as Savior there is no justification before God.
And the verse in Romans was referring to Israel which had rejected their Messiah, "on those (Israel) who fell, severity" "but toward you (The Gentiles), goodness,".
"Otherwise you (Gentiles) also will be cut off."
To accept the Lord Jesus as Savior and remain steadfast in that faith saves. We are all strong and weak as the Lord has given us grace. Yet if we walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh we are saved. Just my two bits.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:27-29

I agree, some people may be in a season of deception. However if one goes their whole life trusting in their works and teaching salvation is by works I would have to question their "fruit" and if they really are saved.
I agree but I would throw this out for consideration. I don't think the "fruit" we are known by is work based. Meaning, how many we led to Christ or corrected and so forth. Rather, since God is in us (or supposed to be) and His fruits are love, peace, joy, patience, long suffering (etc.) then I think the fruits we should be known by are His fruits that we exude because, again, He is in us. A person can have a doctrine wrong but have love of God and neighbor and that is ok. In fact, since we all have to be perfected, we have to remember that we are all currently imperfect. We seek perfection, but we aren't perfect, yet. :)

Agree. But why did you put quotes around saved?
Because I think it is an overused word and one that has a meaning beyond our current condition. Meaning, if you say, "I am saved" I am fine with that... but the truth is, we are still awaiting our salvation, our deliverance. I know this because, though we DO belong to God NOW... we are still aging, getting disease, we still die, we are still tempted, we are still exposed to all manner of sin... and one day that won't be anymore. So when we see messiah say, "He who endures until the end will be saved," we get an idea that the word "saved" has a greater meaning than we generally use and I tend to lean toward us "not being there yet." Again, we belong to God now... but until we are removed from this sin hole world we live in.... are we really saved? I don't think so... and that's why messiah says, "He who endures until then end..."

Blessings.

are going to hell by not following certain verses in the bible? I have seen more than twice here, people say that eternal damnation is someone's lot if...

And that is despite that person being born again.

Once you accept Christ into your heart and life, you are saved. God does not take that back. All of Romans practically is God backing up that promise.

I'm gobsmacked by the Christians here who think if you don't follow the entire Bible to the letter God will revoke that promise and send you to hell.

Who here believes that?
I do. Willfully sinning after being saved is spitting in the face of Jesus as He hangs on the cross. The Word is clear. For him, there remains no more sacrifice for sins buta certain fearful looking for of judgment.

Are you saying that if one does that, he still has no worries?

Blessings,

Gids

All man sins, so I guess all men are going to hell

with out forgiveness of Jesus

all are lost.

If we are not saved due to belief, then we all are lost, there is not one who will go to heaven, not one.

You know the monks? all sin filled

you know the priests? all sin filled

you know the Muslims? all sin filled

you know the Jews? all sin filled

you know all Christians? all sin filled but cleansed and forgiven by Jesus forgiving love.
Through faith, God's grace heals and purifies a soul of sin. So no, not all are sin filled, but many are "being transformed from glory to glory", reflecting the likeness of God by the grace imparted by the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18).

No, I think that "accept Christ into your heart and life" means what those verses say.

What do you think those verses are saying?

What about Romans 11-17-24? Branches that are grafted in can be cut off and grafted in again if they repent. Or my personal favorite John 15:1-10.

It depends on what you mean by following the whole Bible.

Isaiah 55:11 guarantees how God's word shall do all which God desires. So, this is included in the guarantee of being saved. This includes how our Father succeeds in correcting us in our character > Hebrews 12:4-11.

Note verse eight, here > correction is guaranteed to a child of God. And this correction in us changes us so we do all which God's word means to Him.

But how you or I might understand things can be wrong and not what is required.

Ephesians 5 Paul warns children of God of receiving the wrath intended for the sons of disobedience. Paul’s message is that people who partake in ungodliness are sons of disobedience.

Here's what i understand

To turn to Christ and to be born again is to be saved by the Grace of God

We all fall to sin none of us uphold the whole law

Yet we follow Christ not the law

Thus we are not under the curse for braking the law

If one sins yet they say they are born again yet they knowing their wrong doing continue in it without remorse I warn you this is one who is NOT saved

To be saved is to feel guilty when you sin and actively seek God to humbly and sincerely ask for forgiveness

With your faith in God you will by His power overcome your sin

For ask yourself do you live for the flesh or God

Our flesh is nothing it is only the temperaroy housing for our spirit

One could say that His sheep follow (continuously) and if someone rejects God no one has snatched them out of The Father’s hand they have simply walked away from His hand. I believe this is referring to others outside of ourself. No one else can cause or take away my salvation but I can at anytime choose of my own free will to turn away from God any forfeit my salvation.

With we who are Christians, Jesus has entered into a communion. He responds to our every need. Above all, he, as our Savior and God, gives to us the life which he's earned for us by his atoning work.

No foe can rob us, can tear us away from Jesus by any force.

He has us by the hand and holds us in his hand, and so we'll never be lost.

This word of Christ must overcome doubt. Unless we reject Jesus and trample upon the salvation earned for us, there can be no doubt of his holding us in his hand. If we but trust in his mercy, nothing will harm us or tear us away from him.

I don’t believe that. I don’t believe you can lose salvation. Sad to see so much works based theology.
