Warning, ranting and potentially offensive opinions ahead. I can't take it. I wish I grew up in the past where when I came of adult age in the "real world" I would only have to worry about evil less than growing up today. I don't want people to hate me and others for being a white heterosexual male. I don't want people who share my unpopular opinions being stigmatized and de-platformed. I do not want to live with annoying SJWism and feminism. I don't want to face having this stuff potentially reaching close enough to home for me. I always hoped and prayed that it would reverse again one day, but no, God has pre-determined in the Bible that things were going to be this way at this specific time and there is nothing I can do about it except for quit society altogether. Why, it isn't fair. The stuff I mentioned was still okay for mainstream 60 years ago, why can't it be that way today?

I don't know about you, but I have my own different vision of what the final "paradise" is right now.

Well God put you here because no other could do it. He has something for you. I have seen tasted the darkness where you don't want to be here any more.. very very very hard to get out of. Not where GOD wants anyone to be or think. Its a gift. He gave you something for others.. and others for you. There is nothing in this life that we can not handle. See this world through HIS eyes..just ask. He will show you..

The enemy can give show us a view vision what ever of this life that is 100% wrong...

I really, really empathize with your post. I have days where I'm glad I'm a lot older than you, because I feel I don't want to stick around in this world to see how much worse it can get. But trends can change, it's not inevitable that the current trajectory will continue as it is. Keep your chin up, speak out against it, fight back when and where you can, and have hope.

Things are only impossible until they become possible. After that, people call it "inevitable".

Something tells me you already know why society is changing and who is changing it. But take comfort in the fact that if it can be changed to go in one direction, it can also be changed in the other.

You know what would be a good read for you? The book of Ecclesiates. I would challenge you if you are open and up for it to read the entire book and then reach out on thoughts via PM.

But I relate to how you're feeling. Feels like a never-ending nightmare at times.Prayers for you.

If you lived in India where they persecute Christians you wouldn't be worrying about sjwism, would you? One thing that you should do is stop reading about it on the internet or watching shows that talk about it on TV. Get away from the news, period, and spend time with the Lord. We all have to bear our own cross, and as the scripture says evil men wax worse and worse. We are seeing that with our very eyes, and this fulfillment of bible prophecy should cause us to look up and put our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is coming back soon to put an end to the power of the nations and set up His kingdom.

Guess I can also say I even feel the same way you described even more for those younger than myself.

What else is that the religion and God is only like that therapist you talk to validate negative feelings or that partner who tries to emotionally manipulate you into wanting to stay or not have bad feelings.

I strongly prefer eventual tangible results. I honestly feel that God and the church didn't deliver as much in that.

What did you mean when you said this above?

Well honestly, I wanted to say I meant that our earthly material life will still be here and the good/evil conflict continue to exist together, but the side of good will finally rise once again and all the young men in society who feel unvalued will be valued again and get to have an earthly mate, those who scream at being anti-abortion or whatever topic debate as being a bigot or awful person will be finally dealt with by our side, there are more to that I didn't list.

But I know Christianity has said over again that our paradise after this life has to be some big unknown that we couldn't even imagine to understand and that the evil down here will continue anyway. It's not fair and I am having hangups about my faith.

I also want something new. So far the trend of society has been the same-old since maybe at least I was a teen in my experience. For once in my own lifetime I'd like to see true social fairness revived, is that so much to ask for?

Sorry if this is a big wall of text, but this is kind of a serious issue.

I also have another thought. Even though I am non-Christian (or just plain hard time accepting God, it's not really anything else per-se) these days, I still have this feeling to want to pray for other people.

I read about the scary probability that the US will suffer a sort of collapse in me and my family's lifetime, even as soon as by the next 5 years. It maybe inevitable and as a society we went past the point of no return. I fear for my own self and my family having to go through this if it does happen. If God knows it is going to happen, I'd ask him if he can bring all of us up to his place before the point where it actually starts getting out of control.

I'm sure people look forward to going up to finally see and be with him, but not if it's worth having to live through graphic terror and violence that most people are mentally unprepared to handle. My sister is diagnosed with cancer and needs medicine and support sometimes. I don't want to ever see in my life the painful scene unfolding of her suffering and dying from starvation, mass chaos, and being especially vulnerable of her condition because of a societal collapse without any running infrastructure like water and power grids, even if I knew she would end up with her creator for eternity in the end.

Personally, I don't think we'll see that kind of collapse in our lifetimes. In a free market country there's money to be made providing food, electricity and water, so I think any outages would be temporary. I do take comfort knowing this world is not our final home, though. You should keep praying.

I think there are many countries in the world where the good traditional values are still upheld very very strongly.
