What you are about to read in this multi-part post is a word God has given me. I fully realize red flags begin waving after a statement like that. I could avoid the hassle it will undoubtably cost me and simply said that this is what God “put on my heart”? Yeah, I could, but I won’t. 

The truth is, it most definitely is a word from God. It is a love letter. It is a plea. It is a warning. And the word God gave to me are....

THE FLOODGATES ARE ABOUT TO OPEN.

May I tell you before we begin, God’s word to us is going to accomplish several things in our Christian walks in the very near future.

First, most likely the message is going to make you mad, but I beg you in love to hang in there. The light on the horizon is flat out glorious, so buckle up, buttercup. If you choose to read on, this is probably gonna hurt. Why? Because you gotta start disliking the old you and end up truly despising your flesh. Ouch, huh? Oh, and understand this…. this is non-negotiable. You cannot proceed until you are desperately hungry to get free of YOU.

Secondly, it will make you question whether we as modern 21st century believers are missing something….. a burning fire…something maybe? We are boring Christians, don’t you think? Oh c’mon, you know we are. The joy of the Lord is our strength, right? Soooooo….. how strong are you? And this makes it ok…..how?

We are at present savorless salt, with a huge lack of reality in how we walk out our faith, and a glaring lack of passion for anything other than our favorite football team or the latest fashion trend. We know OF God. We just do not truly know Him, and our empty prayer closets are the proof.

Thirdly, if you receive the words God has for you, in your full surrender to God, you will try harder…..much harder….. to stop sinning willfully. Oh, and you will fail. Trust me, lol. I have 38 years of effort, some downright extreme, grappling to get or keep my flesh under control, but no matter how hard I tried, it was never enough. The pendulum would always seem to want to drift southward, you know? And for those who are self disciplined enough to actually resist evil, they darned sure look pickle mouthed in their ‘victory’, don’t they?

Religious pride is so close to Phariseeism, one can hardly distinguish one from the other. The bottom line is this. As long as we are in the flesh, we will gravitate to fleshly stuff. Oh, our sins might be more socially acceptable than those in the world, but they are just as far from FREE INDEED as even the most heinous sins.

This presents a problem or us doesn’t it. We want to stop doing bad things. We can’t. And then there’s that pesky scripture about sinning willfully after having received the knowledge of the truth. We desperately scour the land for someone in “authority” to tell us “Well, that really doesn’t mean what it says, you see in Aramaic that really means “grace is bigger than willful sin”, so don’t sweat it.

That pretty much sums up our modern Christian take on what God’s grace is. We can spit in His face with willful sin and then rave about how wonderful it is that He is able to still love us. What a God! But I cannot help but sense that in the hearts of true Christians, there remains a feeling we can’t shake that we are settling on dangerous ground. Is that you?

Look, I get it. We may not be in the fleshpots of Egypt any longer, but it sure is getting old running weekly religious laps in the wilderness, having exquisite religious form but with our lives testifying that somehow, God’s hands seem to be tied in actually changing us into the likeness of His Son as He has clearly promised.

Why is this powerless, lukewarm Christianity so dangerous…. so displeasing to the Father? Simply because when you cold, plainly serving self and the world, at least you know you are ill and need the great physician. But the lukewarm man? He doesn’t know he is sick. He thinks is is ok, and is content to go through the motions till he is raptured outta here. After all, everyone else is as well, so going through the motions must be ok. It is not.

No, make no mistake, the floodgates are soon to open. Higher ground is calling our name. So if there is a part of you intrigued by this post, hold fast. God has a blessing for you that is simply mind blowing.

More to come. Much more.

Blessings,

Gideon

I was thinking yesterday on what would happen if a valid prophet was sent to the churches. The first question they might be asked is "do you agree with the tenants of my denomination?". The first question should be "what does God want me to do?". I have a strong feeling the churches would verbally stone any prophet we are sent. There definitely seems to be a priority of my church, then Christ in our modern society. Where our first identity is not a Christian of the kingdom of God but a X in the kingdom of God.

We are about to be rescued from head know about God and the Bible and having our feet planted on the highway of holiness, where no one is going to have to say "Know ye the Lord" for they will ALL know Him.

Religious Christianity teaches us that if we get our doctrines just right and have all our questions answered that somehow we will be changed and begin to bear fruits for the Lord.

What we have missed is that if we abide in the vine, we WILL bear mich fruit. Faith is key and it is an act of the heart, not the head. Hungering for closeness with the Lord Himself and hating to live in a way that beings dishonor to Him is a sign we are on the right path.

There is an answer as to how to make the hyper-space jump from head to heart, but until we hate our carnal fleshly nature, we will be unable to percieve the answer that awaits us.

The floodgates opening are going to wash us all into out own personal valley of decision, where each one of us decide who will reign in our lives... us or Him in us. It will separate the sheep from the goats. Foundations are going to be exposed. Those who have built on sand AND content to stay there will be washed away. Those who set their sights on Jesus Himself, refusing to take another step until they can abide in Him 24/7 will discover, however, the true meaning of "the glorious liberty of the children of God".

Huge changes to the church are coming. Amazing changes. We are about to be awakened to who we are in Christ..... new creatures..... and with our lamps lit and our shields of faith up, we will match..... no.... EXCEED.... the exploits of the early church for the latter rain will be greater than the former.

Thank you for sharing.

Blessings,

Gideon

If per chance a prophet was sent to the churches, all that is hidden is easily seen, even without a word spoken. Pray they ask him not a question, for then the jaws will drop.
