I’m having some trouble with my anxiety and paranoia.
I’m currently looking for a doctor and therapist and I’m still on my medication.
I would be thankful for any prayers or bible verses about anxiety or paranoia.
Thank you all

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Throw your anxieties at God in prayer persistently claiming Jesus' victory as you find a Christian therapist.

Well, I don't know if you have bi polar or not. I saw a documentary once where people would go to different psychologists with exactly the same list of fake symptoms, then get a different diagnosis from them all! My sister was diagnosed as bi polar, but I never saw the symptoms. Then I read about Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and it was her all over, imo!

Whatever the true problem is, whatever the cause is, your Heavenly father knows and wants you to be free form it. I pray He will lead you to be free from meds and from mental health issues.

That test is not a good one, LoricaLady, because psychiatrists need to talk with patients a few times to diagnose them accurately. But the problem is that psychiatrists are fallible. When I was suffering from major depression, the first one did nothing but listen to me and take my money. The second one misdiagnosed me as manic-depressive. The third group was in a Christian mental hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich.: Pine Rest, where God used their team approach to get me in touch with my unconscious anger. Then, God used my persistent laments like Job, David, Jeremiah, and others in the Bible to take away my depression (32 years now) and give me God's peace (Philippians 4:6, 7).

I know that bipolar disease is due to a chemical imbalance in the brain and needs medication. However, perhaps persistent lamenting might eventually help it. I don't know. I was on lithium a while but haven't been on meds for my depression for 33 years.

You're on my daily prayer list, Bipolargirl.

Your post confirms what I have seen and heard of. Sometimes people get help - to me it seems that is rarely - but often they get misdiagnosed and/or put on harmful medications. Lawyers have had field days with successfully suing pharmaceutical companies for their products in psychiatric areas, as in many other areas.

The Bible talks more than once of how people were sick and the doctors did them no good.
Therefore your going to Him for healing by Him was the right thing to do. He has helped me many times, whereas doctors have quite a few times given me things that were harmful, or tried to do so.

So far He has just led me to healings with natural remedies with Words of Knowledge, but I know He can certainly heal even without those.
