Dear friends, I trust that the Lord had been keeping and blessing you. Every Easter we’re reminded that Jesus died for our sins and had ransomed us from judgment and hell (John 3:15-17). We’re also told that the resurrection of Christ has empowered us with His Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4) and that the Lord has sent us forth to fulfill His great commission (Acts 1:7-8). What is not often mentioned on Easter Sunday is how the Lord reinstated us into our rightful place in God’s kingdom as sons and daughters of God.

I’d like to start by taking another look at the creation story in Genesis and how Adam and Eve actually walked with God. Genesis 3:8-9 describes how God was walking in the Garden of Eden and called out to Adam and Eve, “where are you”? Adam and Eve actually witnessed the physical Presence of the Almighty the way Christ and the Angels do (John 11:42, Matthew 18:10). What must it have been like to behold the majesty and the awesomeness of the Almighty (1 Timothy 6:16, Exodus 3:2, Jeremiah 2:19)? Even more poignantly, what must it have felt like for those who’ve seen the Almighty to be separated from Him (Genesis 3:23-24, Matthew 27:46)? While preaching the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) when the Lord said that “blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8), do we who’ve never seen God even understand what it’s like to see and touch the face of God? When the temple curtain that separates the Holy of Holies from the commons was ripped into two (Matthew 27:51, Hebrew 10:19-22), do we understand the gravity of what took place then?

God Almighty gave Adam and Eve absolute power and control over all the earth (Genesis 1:28). God gave His son Adam the authority to name all the living creatures (Genesis 2:19-20)! We get to name our pets at most, while Adam got to name every living thing on earth! When Jesus walked on water (Matthew 14:25) and calmed the storm (Mark 4:39), do we realize that Adam had the same power but forfeited (as did we) it? Do we also realize that Christ reinstated us into that relationship with our Heavenly Father so that we reacquired that same dominion in the Holy Spirit (Matthew 10:8, Luke 24:49, John 24:12)? We think of disease, trouble and heartache as something to get over (John 16:33), but do we realize that Adam was never supposed to die but live forever and that it was his sin that brought death upon himself and all of us (Genesis 3:19, Romans 5:12)? What does it feel like to never grow old or ever die (John 11:25-26)? How wonderful it is to call God our Father (Matthew 23:9). Do we fully comprehend that the resurrection of Christ made it possible to call God our Father!

This Easter let’s see Jesus as more than just our fire insurance from hell or a sugar daddy of blessings, saints. Let’s understand that the risen Christ has reinstated us into our rightful relationship with God that was ours to begin with, but was robbed by the devil. Let us rejoice that we have been reinstated into becoming sons and daughters of God and walk with Him the way, Adam, Jesus and Enoch had (Genesis 5:21-24). Amen.

Have a good week saints. Happy spring and Easter:).

I do try to explain that the Creation Week story is regarding Paradise, but most don't get it.
