Essentially you're saying to me there's no Christianity.

Essentially you're saying to me there's no Christianity.
Sorry but I'm not converting.
No I've no need to discuss the MJ movement with you. You say I don't understand but make to attempt to explain.Your eyes are shut. You simply refuse to accept what you have been shown in the scriptures. That’s why you won’t comment on John 3 or Matthew 7. You really need to take another look from a different perspective outside of Martin Luther’s teachings.
You're one and you ask me what they teach. Now that's a good one.
Still nothing about verse 21.Yes hearing His words but not acting on them. Yes I agree.
“"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell-and great was its fall."”
MATTHEW 7:24-27 NASB
I didn't say you were a Jew. You're the one arguing for MJ doctrine. Not me. So if you're not a an MJ why are you defending them. Just to argue? No I believe you have a purpose.I’m not a Jew
I'm not Orthodox, and certainly don't promote their teaching and practice either. So I guess that means you're just arguing.I’m not a Messianic Jew. I’m more of a nondenominational who has a tendency to lean towards the Orthodox teachings.
Your referring to the Jews that didn’t understand Judaism and rejected their own foretold Messiah. There is also the Messianic Jews who actually believe and understand Judaism the correct way.
No one has said that...that is your problem
So the reality is the new covenant has nothing to do with the old covenant.
Sorry. Judaism as practiced isn't Christianity. There's no Jesus in Judaism. Jesus is indeed the Messiah of the Jews and the whole world, Who is rejected for various reasons.
If they believed Moses they would have recognized their Messiah.
if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise
Still nothing about verse 21.
Galatians 6:7
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
Law is law. You can't bend it to your will. It doesn't bend, it only breaks.John 5:43-45
"I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?"
John 5:46
"For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me."
He spoke this to unbelievers. They only said they believed Moses, but they really didn't. Therefore, they were trusting in their carnal understanding of the Law, which led to the adding to and taking from it (leaven). Their hopes were set on the letter of the law so they couldn't see Who it to pointed to. There were others (such as Simeon Luke 2:25-32) who saw it properly.
Let's take a look at that. And as we see in the connecting word "therefore" or "then" (various translations), verse 24 is the continuation of verse 23. And we can see how verses 24-27 are the key message of the full passage of 21-27, explaining clearly what is the "lawlessness" (or "iniquity") that will lead to death.
It says the covenant from Mount Sinai is a bondage to slavery. The TCs.Yes, it results in bondage to sin, because of the unbelieving hearts of man.
I like this one too. (2)Act 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Jesus wasn't orthodox. You might want to bear that in mind.I’m not a Messianic Jew. I’m more of a nondenominational who has a tendency to lean towards the Orthodox teachings.
