Two prominent cable news networks offered zero coverage to the breaking misconduct allegation made against former Vice President and potential 2020 candidate Joe Biden on Friday night.

A former Democratic candidate from Nevada alleged in an op-ed published in New York Magazine’s The Cut that Biden inappropriately touched her at a 2014 campaign event.

Lucy Flores, who was running for Nevada lieutenant governor, was aided by the vice president just days before the election and appeared alongside the candidate at a rally.

JOE BIDEN ACCUSED OF INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT BY FORMER NEVADA DEM CANDIDATE

“As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?’” Flores recalled. “I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it… ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?’ He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused.”

“Even if his behavior wasn’t violent or sexual, it was demeaning and disrespectful,” she later wrote. “I wasn’t attending the rally as his mentee or even his friend; I was there as the most qualified person for the job.”

Flores took to Twitter on Friday, saying it was “incredibly difficult” to come forward but “felt necessary.”

Biden spokesman Bill Russo issued a statement in response to the op-ed.

“Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes,” the statement read. “But Vice President Biden believes that Ms. Flores has every right to share her own recollection and reflections, and that it is a change for better in our society that she has the opportunity to do so. He respects Ms. Flores as a strong and independent voice in our politics and wishes her only the best.”

There are also "issues" with children as well.

Yes, it's interesting in Bill Russo's choice of words, as he avoids even a semblance of "no denial".

Perhaps ol' uncle Joe shyould'a left well enough alone and stayed off in the background where he was before announcing that he'd be rfunning for President.

Isn't he partners with Lady Gaga in an organization to "help" survivors of sexual abuse or something to that effect?

How ironic.

If you think this is going to be an issue in a country that voted for Donald "grab 'em by the ..." Trump, you really need to get out more.

Didn't George W. Bush do something similar to the Chancellor of Germany?

One odd factor concerning this issue is video exist of that moment. I recall seeing it aired more than a few times during the early phases of the 2008 campaign season. Now...apparently no single news outlet retains the footage or even recalls footage even existed.

However to understand the reaction to this event one only has to recall the two-tier justice system currently being enforced in the United States. The American left at large will instantly, slavishly, and without asking a single question believe the most outrageous claim made against, say, a nominee for the Supreme Court and then promote the guy making all the associated false charges as a revered candidate for President. But Joe Biden can actually put his hands all over any woman he pleases, even a little girl, and of course it must be George Bush's fault. Or Trumps.

The video of Biden and Sen. Kelly Ayotte's little girl is truly hard to watch.

Trump made a crude comment. Biden actually, on video, made very inappropriate contact with women and children.

Trump made a crude comment about things he actually did. Not to mention cheated on all three of his wives, slept with a inappropriate content star and playboy bunny and walked into the dressing rooms of underage girls.

Not if you understand the English language. The words "you can" do not mean the same as the words "I did."

As for Stormy Daniels, her case was tossed out of court, her attorney arrested, and she is now dancing for dollars at some strip club. Her accusations were never proven, regardless of how many covers Time magazine devoted to the topic.

But lets suppose he did "sleep" with a Playboy Bunny. Now you find that form of activity offensive?

What about Biden pawing all over a six year old girl? Find that offensive?

:doh:His attorney acknowledged, under oath in front of Congress, that he paid Daniels off on behalf of Trump.

Even Fox News reported that.

I watched the video. All he did was touch her chin when he asked if she was bored and pat her on the head, just like her mother did to her little brother not three seconds later. At no time did he grind his crotch into her shoulder. That's ridiculous. Not to mention her parents were standing right there laughing and joking with Biden. Do you think they would be laughing and joking with a man who was sexually assaulting their daughter right in front of them?

Yeah, I can't really take their alleged moral indignant reactions or their judgmental finger pointing seriously when they have supported (and even defended) Donald Trump for the last two years.

But they all have the seal of God (the "R" next to their names and probably tattooed on them somewhere), so such behavior on their part is considered to be just and holy. If you dare to point it out as something negative, then it's the same as if you are acting against God himself.

Not only that, but when we point out the sinful behavior of Trump, we hear "Trump shouldn't be judged for his sins!" and "Trump's sins are between him and God!" and "It's God's job to judge Trump!" and "As Christians we're not supposed to hold Trump's past against him." I can't name names, of course, because of the flaming rule forbidding calling out other members.

Yep, I see it here all the time! I just wonder if all of those posts will mysteriously vanish whenever it may happen that a D comes into office and it's suddenly okay to be judgmental again. :)

I'm very confident that all of those excuses about not judging the President for his (or her) immoral and sinful behavior will miraculously disappear if the next President is a Democrat. There won't be anymore excuses from the Christian Right about how we shouldn't judge the President for his or her sins. We won't see the excuse that adultery shouldn't be held against the next President if he or she committed adultery before they were elected to the presidency. I'm rather confident that we will see the same level of moral indignation and outright condemnation we saw from the Christian Right during the years Bill Clinton was in the midst of his sexual scandals while he was still the President.

I think we both can imagine the moral indignation from the Christian Right if former President Obama had been twice divorced and in his third marriage to his former mistress or if he had bragged about sexually groping multiple women or if he had had an affair with a inappropriate content star and then paid her off to silence her. I think we can rest assured that if he had bragged about groping multiple women that no one in the Christian Right would have called his bragging LOCKER ROOM BANTER OR MACHO TALK.

He also said "they let you do it". How would he know unless he had experience with it?

I know that Oswald shot Kennedy, and that the Duke Lacrosse scandal was a lie promoted by Al Sharpton and others, and that Jesse Smollett faked a hate crime. None of that means I have experience plotting an assassination or manufacturing and promoting fake crimes. I also know that in the presence of fame some people will do anything.

His attorney acknowledged, under oath in front of Congress, that he paid Daniels off on behalf of Trump.

Which in and of itself does not constitute proof the underlying act took place. Quote:

"New York City men are protecting themselves from the dark side of the #MeToo movement, including an upswing in false accusations and blackmail, lawyers and private eyes say.

One young technology exec said he has six Nest cams installed inside his swanky downtown condo to “document and provide corroboration for what’s happening in my private life.”

I'm not the one defending the sexual predator in the White House.

And you have proof our President is a sexual predator? Please, present that proof. I am sure you will, over night, become one of the most famous people in America.

I watched the video. All he did was touch her chin when he asked if she was bored and pat her on the head...

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

Do you think they would be laughing and joking with a man who was sexually assaulting their daughter right in front of them?

Given the realm they operate in and some of the people who occupy that realm, it wouldn't be at all surprising.

You're being old fashioned again Sis.

It's allowable to twist/misconstrue any words into anything you want them to say or mean nowadays and not feel embarrassed for doing so. I think it has something to do with the participation trophies they hand out in school

Kissing a colleague on the back of the head, by itself isn't wrong, unless it is accompanied by inappropriate behavior. She admitted to being nervous and Biden may have simply been trying to calm her in a reassuring manner.
