In thee have I taken refuge, God the strong tower.

The Holy Spirit agreeing with the human spirit that we are the children of God should really be the only assurance of belonging to the family of God needed. But we're given much more assurance than that of His love and protection for us. Christ leads His own as they flee into the safeguard provided. Hebrews 6:18 He is the strong tower built into the middle of His garden. Proverbs 18:10; Psalms 61:3; Mark 12:1 He is the heavenly throne that one must go boldly to be cleansed daily. Hebrews 4:16; Hebrews 13:6; Matthew 6:11
The agreement of the human spirit with the Holy Spirit seems to say it all.

Hebrews 2:13
And again:
“I will put My trust in Him.”
And again:
“Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”

Hebrews 12:2
looking unto Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Our lives should be without covetousness. We should be content with what we have.

For God will not leave us, nor will God forsake us.

Our lives, our thinking, our conduct should be free from avarice, from greed, for God demands that we should be content with what we have, with what God has given us.

This contentment has a foundation in God's promise that God won't leave us to want, nor will God forsake us.

This promise secure, we may say, "God's my helper, I wion't fear."

Our salvation in Jesus is secure in God's hands. Our souls have been entrusted to mercy's certainty.

Contentment is a learned thing, not a gift provided. It’s an inward self-sufficiency, as opposed to the lack or the desire of outward things .. to prove His existence.
Phil 4:10 ‘ Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content’

Do you perhaps mean 4:11.

On account of Paul's imprisonment he was without many comforts. And so he has reasons to be joyful, since this need is now supplied. For he'd learned to be satisfied with what he had. He'd learned the lesson both to be brought low and to have plenty. To be in a low as well as in a high position. He has become accustomed to that. Whether he has more than he needs or suffers, the prospect leaves him unscathed.

Exactly, I’m sure many were hard learned lessons hence the need to keep one’s eyes on the author and perfecter of the faith. Within His strong tower are all the defences needed to overcome the devil’s strongholds.

I might add that the one other thing in scripture that was learned was Christ Himself learning obedience. "In Thee", the Father, Christ took refuge, Psalms 16:1 while He suffered to learn obedience. Hebrews 5:8 The ‘dove in the cleft of the rock’ is not a Christian saint’s emblem only, it was His in His days of keen distress.
