• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I would say this can help. Ones say plant foods can help to make us more regular, and plant fiber can help to feed gut bacteria which we need for healthy intestines and even vitamin production by gut bacteria. Also, it is said that different kinds of leafy plant can have various helpful chemicals, even for helping prevent cancer.

And activity of loving people is good. God's love has the best energy.

"Let all that you do be done with love." (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Word is out that sitting too much is dangerous. Possibly it is good to have short exercise things all through the day - - not some one big shot of it, or only a couple times a day - - but do little things here and there. Just get off your seat and move around and say hi to people, smile :) Encourage people, somehow. Learn this at church, maybe. Are you worshiping and sharing and praying with church family people???

They can minister to us the energy of the right quality, for loving. We need the right kind of energy, not only make-it-happen energy.

God's grace is sufficient. So, this needs to be in our diet.

What are we feeding on, with our attention? Where we let our attention go can effect which sort of energy we are in. Are we attentive to submitting to God in His peace (Colossians 3:15)? Are we having hope in prayer for any and all people, including ones who are a problem and impossible for us > 1 Timothy 2:1-4 > love "hopes all things" (in 1 Corinthians 13:7)?

Or, are we mainly depending on ourselves to make things happen, then escaping to TV and food and other physical things which can not love us?

How do we relax? It seems to me, how some number of people do not first seek to relax by being still with God, but they are depending on other things.

"'Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.'" (Matthew 11:29)
Wow thank you

Hey

I'm tired all the time but I've been to doctors twice now. Had blood tests and stuff and they say nothing is wrong

I really don't understand and I'm not sure what to do next?

Hello. Ask God to heal you. And always pray.

Thanks for the lengthy response.

I wasn't saying 'go vegan'. I was just saying the for myself and others I know who made plants their primary food and incorporated light exercise, such as walking, experienced significant boosts of energy. I don't require a nap every afternoon as I used to because I have more than enough energy to get through the day now.

A friend of mine is experiencing the same thing right now. She has missed 15 days of work so far this year. All the symptoms said it was mono but multiple sets of tests all came back negative. So we are praying for either the symptoms to stop or the doctors to finally find out the problem.

I will include you in those prayers as well.
Thank you

So there is a genetic disorder that caused my sister to be tired all of the time.

The genetic disorder she has is that she does not process typical B vitamins. The protein that would absorb B vitamins in her body is misshaped. In order for her body to accept and process the B vitamins, they have to be methylated. So, she could take B vitamins and they wouldn't be processed by her body. Whatever part of the B vitamins she took was not eliminated was actually being stored as a toxin. The condition is called MTHFR, in case you want to research it.

See if taking B vitamins like this helps:
https://www.amazon.com/Bioactive-Fo...&s=gateway&sprefix=methylated,aps,228&sr=8-11

These help my sister quite a bit. When she forgets to take them she notices a difference. I think she had to take them for a week or two before she noticed a difference as the levels needed to be built up in her body.

It's an easy experiment and is not that expensive to try. I hope it makes a difference for you.

I would say you were very clear, but you never know how I or anyone else may need help to understand something right :) If someone does eat meat or fish, I think I have been told that less fat is better, in meat > I might at times "water fry" meat > putting meat in a pan with a little water to draw off the fat, then dump that; and more oily fish can be better. But each one can pray and do what God has you doing, and see how He has you doing research, yourself, if He does.

One thing I now think of is I try to pray and be guided by God in every detail. And if I do this, He will perfectly coordinate what I do and what I therefore need to eat :) And my weight has gone down, just a little, maybe just enough in my case. Love activities can make it easier to have self control, because we are so enjoying the sharing and caring, instead of relying on food to make us feel good. And with loving we can learn also how to stay clear of workaholic stuff and trying to control other people.

Yes, I think if we try to control and use other people, this can kill our energy.

"Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation," (Philippians 2:13-16)

So, yes arguing and complaining are anti-love-energy. And as we win against these things, in our emotional and social diet, we also are becoming more like Jesus and how He has us relating in love. And it is special to discover how we become creative, in our Creator's love :)

I have been on the keto diet for a few weeks and my energy levels are going up. It is basically an anti inflammatory diet. No sugar or starches (junk food, processed food) It is so easy and feels so good. I thank the Lord for how I came across Dr boz on youtube . She explains it all so well.
May the Lord bless you richly

Thank you :)
I see you have 31 posts, at this time; so you are new here > welcome to Christian Forums :)

Right now, I am having my leafy breakfast > with raw spinach > the more baby type > and sunflower seeds and avocado and a salsa of red pepper and green beans that I water fried, then drank the fry water. For breakfast. But I am 71 years old and I can't find my fork. But . . . now I see it . . . partly buried under the leafy stuff I just dumped in my dish!

And I just remembered one reason why I started eating stuff like this > there are things I do but might not always remember the reason . . . maybe at age 71 :)

Oh, yes, there's a tomato in it. The red and the green vegetables have different nutrients.

So . . . ah-hah, I remembered > I understand that if I eat original things, with only some heating of things like beans > no added salt, no added sugar or oily dressing made only or mainly to taste good so the dressing people can make money, and this maybe with a lot of unnecessary salt > original foods have their nutrients locked inside vegetable fiber structures of leaves and stems and seeds. So, it takes work to digest that stuff. So, it takes the day to get the energy from it. So, may be I have a slow release of nutrition all through the day, so I don't even get hungry for lunch.

But kind of a contradiction of this is that the slow release of digested food's energy means I do not have more than so much energy, at any given time. So, if I try to do more than my breakfast is producing, I have an energy cap to restrict me from doing too much more.

So, in case you are staying with a diet, there can be an issue of if you are somewhat limited in your energy because you are not eating . . . too much. So, this can be good, in some way. There are people who just chug in a lot of sugar and crunchy chips whenever they feel an energy or hunger emergency, instead of learning to stay within our means of God's grace and what He feeds us :)

Yes, and digestive enzymes help unlock the nutrients too. I use the Super Digestive enzymes from GNC. Also to help with spiritual pain, I use Dr. Bach's flower essences The Original Bach Flower Remedies Information and Sale

Explore the web site and check out some testimonials on youtube. I use the rescue remedy.

Thanks

I drink a lot of water

I get about 7 or 8 hours sleep but I wake up early sometimes for no reason

Waking up early for unknown reason. I also experience this myself. I've actually narrowed it down to sudden noises that also goes away quickly (so by the time I wake up, the noise is gone). The noises could be as simple as natural periodic noises in the house, like the air conditioner, roommates getting up, birds or other animals, loud school bus, etc.

I've actually solved this problem of mine by wearing ear plugs so now I can make full 8 hr sleep. I live in a relatively crowded and thus, noisy neighborhood.

May not be the same problem as yours and wearing earplugs isn't always an ideal solution. Bad solution if you live in a dangerous neighborhood as you need sharp hearing to stay alert against home invasions.

Recommended water intake per day is 2 liters, or half a gallon of water (if my math is right).

My blood tests were ok. But do they check vitamin D levels?
It depends on whether the doctor checks that box or not.

Mine were diagnosed as low last year. (and B12)
