Hell is not a place it's a state of being. All people will end up in the same place eternally with some being in torment while others are in paradise. How is this? Those that commune either Christ and love Christ will be made part of him spiritually, therefore his power will be ours. That is why we will sit on thrones and rule with him as sons of God.

"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust"

Those that reject Christ will be foreign to his power, and its very presence will burn them. Not because it is meant to torture them, but because they have rejected life and love and peace itself. For eternity it will be right in front of them, but unable to grasp it. The burning will be their burning desire for peace, but they will not find it. That is true torment.

The sinner condemns himself is what I am saying. Christ merely judges us on the decision we've already made. The plea bargain was struck for our restoration. We can either accept it or deny it.

Some people believe that everyone is given a last chance by God at the moment of death. Perhaps such a chance is only given to kind and loving souls who have not yet accepted Jesus? The bottom line is that we do not know. There is nothing in Scripture that says God does not offer a last chance to souls as they die. While we cannot assume that such will happen, neither should we deny the possibility of this.

This must come up often when witnessing. Someone will
say, "Wait, my mother didn't accept Christ in her heart, but
she was a very good person. Are you saying she's in hell?"

How do you handle this?

Thanks

That would come from a misuse of the word "witness."

Leviticus 5 defines "witness" as that which someone has seen or heard first-hand.

None of us can give witness to the position of anyone after death.

So the answer to that question is always, for several reason, "I don't know."

Evangelism is telling people what Jesus did for them.

Witnessing is telling people what Jesus did for you.

Simple..truth. If one rejected Christ they are lost for ever. But.. I am not like most. I believe its far easier to get saved then lost. Why you ask? Well MAN is the one that says MOST will be lost..not God. See Jesus said "if you were blind you would have no sin. You say you see your sin remains" MOST are blind. And then God see the heart.. and then sees from before birth till death. We judge based on a moment in time.

And we never see them alone in the dark.. crying.. saying GOD I am sorry.. for who so ever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved.

Nowhere does the Bible say to accept Christ in one's heart.

This is my response “I’m sorry are you the Holy Spirit”?
“Thank you very much”

I’ve had a lot of comments from strangers over the years. Usually I don’t engage with them but sometimes I come up with a quick witted comeback or remark if I am alone.

Hi kenyon,

It's always good to use God's truth to answer questions about God. If someone were to ask me that question, I'd say that I didn't know their mother and have no way of knowing her standing before God when she died. I would then ask to show him something. I'd open up the Scriptures to the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ and ask him to read 20:12-15 out loud. I would then ask him, "Is your mother's name written in the Book of Life? He's likely to say that he doesn't know and I would agree that I don't know either. If he answers no, then I would confirm that on the day of God's judgment, then she would be cast away from God. If he answers yes, or I hope so, then I would say that it is good that he has such confidence.

I would then follow up and tell him that God doesn't ask us to be like our mothers or fathers, but like His Son. We, each one of us individually, can make the choice to love God or not. I'm confident that after the day of God's judgment that pretty much everyone who receives God's promise of eternal life with Him will have a lot of relatives that aren't standing by their side. Mothers, fathers, sons and daughters will be missing.

God bless,
In Christ, ted

Are you saying babies who die go to hell?
If they're going to heaven, why does the Catholic church baptize them? I'm not saying I agree with that... Just making a point. I think Presbyterians do that as well, and possibly others. Though the Protestant churches don't see it as an act of salvation but more of statement of salvation (of course, the baby hasn't made a personal decision for Christ yet, which is why I disagree with it).

The Bible is clear on the matter. If you reject Jesus in this life, if you fail to get saved, you will go to Hell. It is not a convenient truth, but it is the truth. Nothing served by being afraid to tell the truth, even if it is not what people want to hear. It may offend someone, but I would rather offend someone with the truth, than deceive them. In fact, such a conversation opens up the opportunity to share the Gospel.
