Ok, actually makes more sense now. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Mueller took out some of Trump’s trash for him. The President should send a nice Happy Holidays card.

I believe Trump knew about the Russia meddling. But it benefit him. So Trump didn't care. Obama warned him about Flint. So I sure Trump knew something was going on. Did I think Trump was going down over this . No. He definitely tried to interfere in the investigation. But his own word.

Alternate reality. The only "meddling" came from the DNC and the Clinton campaign with the fake dossier. That certainly didn't "benefit" Trump and in fact led to this whole Witch Hunt. It was an absolute waste of time and taxpayer resources. If there was no collusion then there was no interference or obstruction.

Nothing about that dossier has been proven to be fake.

And “taxpayer resources”?? The assets forfeited by Manafort alone have more than paid for the Mueller investigation...

I am no trump fan, but i also dont think much of the dossier has been proven to be true.

As always, it is up to those using the dossier to make allegations, to demonstrate they are credible, not the other way around.

IMO, given the history of the dossier, i tend to think it would be shredded on any good cross examination.

It’s been a slow drip feed, but increasingly there are parts of the dossier being verified. And, as you say, this is as it should be...the burden of proof is with the claimant/s.

However, it is equally true that it’s detractors have no grounds to declare it ‘fake’, other than their blind political loyalties...

Keep on hoping!

You know, hindsight being 20/20, it's a lot easier now (at least for me personally) to see how farfetched the idea of Donald colluding with the Russian government actually is .

After all, what could he have offered Putin that Uncle Vladimir couldn't simply get for hinself?

It never made sense to me to begin with.

I wish I had your foresight.

After all, Putin is KGB (don't believe "former" for an instant), who, among other skills, are trained to read and manipulate people.

Donald is vain, thin skinned, short tempered, easily distracted, easily flattered, easily goaded, easily manipulated... in short, the perfect dupe.

(After all, even Kushner and Ivanka have him wrapped around their fingers, and what are they? A landlord and a handbag designer)

KGB (or indeed, anyone in the HUMINT profession) have dreams about such people in power.

It's an undisputed fact that the Russians have always attempted to interfere in our electoral process -- the only question (which this administration does not want answered) is how successful they have been.

With Donald on the ticket, it only makes sense that they would pull out all the stops to get him elected. And really, with Putin at the helm, what use is Donald anyway?

I genuinely feel stupid for not seeing it before.

Well, "dupe" is a different story altogether. I just couldn't see a smart guy like Putin engaging in a conspiracy with a motormouth moron.

My point exactly. To someone like Putin, Donald is a patsy, not a partner.

This narrative is quite amusing. Were you asleep from Jan 2009 to Jan 2017
As for how he's treated, he brings much of it on covfefe.

And why wouldn't the media be against him? He's declared it an enemy of the people.
Oh dear. An atheist that disagrees with me. *shockface*
I'm sure you're well aware that the media was critical-if you want to call it that-of Trump way before he was critical of them AND before he was running for President.

I'm sure that you're well aware that when it comes to commendable personality traits, Donald had none before he ran for president, and still doesn't.

The media humored him in the past because they assumed that he was acting a part... a self parody of the brash, loudmouthed, billionaire blowhard.

Then he ran for president as that "character," and we all saw that he wasn't acting.

What does his views on a deity have to do with his not agreeing with you?

Right. And who in Washington D.C. has "commendable personality traits"? I'll wait.
You call humored, I call critical.
So what if his personality rubs people the wrong way. Big deal! Life is full of those kinds of people.

The President is a self-made man while most in the political establishment aren't.

I think that President Trump's path will follow that of OJ Simpson.

OJ was acquitted by a primarily-black jury who looked at him as a hero and were biased in his favor. Trump handpicked an attorney general who had written a memo saying presidents shouldn't even be investigated for obstruction who is now trying to bury the report with a 4 page memo. The majority of Americans believed OJ was guilty--as they believe Trump is guilty.

Later, OJ was sued in a civil trial for murdering his wife and waiter Ron Goldman. He only needed 9 of 12 jurors to vote against him, and lost. This is what will happen in the House investigative committee.

Finally, OJ still couldn't help himself. He couldn't stop committing crimes. He wound up getting arrested and served a long prison sentence. Trump has the Southern District of NY, State of NY, and lawsuits from Maryland and Virginia to face. Somehow or other, eventually justice will be done, and he will move into the Trump Leavenworth for a well-deserved stay (or, if NYS nabs him, perhaps the Trump Rikers or the Trump Sing-Sing.)
