The word righteous means on the level; therefore, when a person is righteous, their actions are on the level with the Word of God. Their tongue and work will be on the level with the Word of God. Righteousness is simply doing right. When I live in the righteousness of God’s Word, I am never safer than I am at that point. "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:" "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

From what I read and understand.. my righteousness is worthless. It comes from faith in Christ. There is nothing I can do to receive it. Its because of Christ..what HE did is why we are. Everything is Him :)

Whoa! that is possibly the best break-down of what "righteousness is i've ever read or heard. And yes, that's true, isn't it? When we are in righteousness, and we are being attacked or threatened, it is GOD Who is being attacked, isn't it?
