Will Jesus still judge Christians for our past sins?

I have no idea to be honest. I am leaving the judgement up to God.

This is simplistic, but if you are concerned, you are probably OK. If people don't care, it's probably more likely, that is simple thinking though.

My concern is more of an intellectual concern rather than an emotional fear. It's pretty grim.

I hope that God can make me more concerned.

It was the custom during the time of the early Church for people to put off being baptized as long as possible so as to have all of their sins forgiven by baptism.

That's an interesting comment. Can you provide some prime source documents I could look up? Thanks.

So im aware that Jesus was that lamb that took away the sins of the world but also there is the fact that in heaven there are rewards and crowns. I suppose that some crowns will be given to those that endured those that helped others and those that spread and died for the gospel. It is said that every action and thought will be thoroughly known on the day of judgement this must mean that even though we had our sins cleansed it does not excuse us from our past deeds. Must be a very long list and time for every human person. I am well aware that God exists outside of time and that the whole body of Christ can communicate with him simultaneously.
The passage you mention is this one...
Matthew 12:36:
I tell you that on the day of judgment people will give account of every careless word they have spoken. --EHV
That passage; correct?
We will give account according to that passage as well as this Romans passage...
Romans 14:11-12:
Indeed, it is written:
As I live, says the Lord,
every knee will bow to me,
and every tongue will acknowledge God.
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. --EHV

We give an account for the good and the evil we have done while in the body, but are acquitted by our faith in Jesus and as our actions have proven out our faith. God is greater than our hearts...He knows all. While in the body we are subject to the throws and false accusations of the devil. Keep the bond of love and pray to stay in step with the Spirit so that you may grow and flourish without the hinderances of the devil...so as much as possible anyway. Be assured however, that true Christians sin and true Christians will still have to give an account for those sins, but true Christians are acquitted and saved from their sin and will inherit the Kingdom to share eternity with God.
Psalm 7:8:
Let the Lord judge the peoples.
Acquit me, O Lord, according to my righteousness,
according to my integrity which is in me. --EHV

Above, is a passage citing our acquittal...according to our righteousness...this righteousness is that which Jesus assigns us through our faith.
Others may have more of these assuring passages.

I recommend you do a study of the passages in the New Testament that discuss this topic and related issues.

Key words to enter into a search could included: judge, judges, judgement, reward, punish, good deeds, cleanse, cleansed, etc.

There is a definite division for those who by faith have received Christ's righteousness between salvation and reward for works that are not build on Christ. Consider this passage from 1 Corinthians 3:10-15

"According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire."

No..He took away the sins of the world. We will answer for every idle word. He died already. I dont know if any when they die.. have confessed every sin.. and then all the ones they didnt know about.. we all have sin. Your his so.. there is no judgement. ALLOT of the things we do now.. some juuuuuust get in ..no rewards. Never give a thought to rewards.. lol..who would do that.

Some do.. I will NOT say who but watch this woman say "I am getting Jupiter when I get to heaven"...or others talk about some HOUSE and how GREAT it will be.. man I will GLADLY sleep on the streets...this GOD took all my sin.. forever is not long enough to stay at his feet worshiping Him

Since Christ already paid for all our sins, everyone has already been judged for them. The various judgements are only concerned with works, to determine rewards.

Only believers will stand in the judgements. Ps 1:5. The works of unbelievers are meaningless since they have no life after death, although all their sins are forgotten.

Rom 3:25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
Upon becoming a believer, one's past sins (sins previously committed) are atoned for by the blood of Jesus. Once one becomes a believer, you and I are judged by our works/deeds. That is why Jesus judges the 7 Churches in Revelation by their deeds or lack thereof.

No I believe Christians are also punished for their sins. Please state to me in the Bible where it says we are free from sin consequences? This Grace only Theology is only half of the message. We are called to live sin free and free because Jesus set us apart for himself but we must work together to remove sins shackles and not be bound to anything in this world. Any other way to preach the gospel is to leave a door open to antinomialist beliefs. I believe in freewill and I believe in Gods Grace and they work together much like the Eastern Orthodox Church has viewed it we must abide therein.

That we are justified by grace through faith is the clear Gospel message.

1. No one can keep the Law. No one is righteous before God.
Acts 15:10, Romans 3:9-20, Isaiah 64:6

2. Only Christ can and did keep the Law. The Law and the Prophets are about our Lord Jesus Christ and He fulfilled them.
Matthew 5:17-20, Galatians 4:4-5, Galatians 4:4-5

3. We uphold the Law.
Romans 3:31, James 2:14-26, 1 peter 1:15-16

4. Salvation is a free gift from God.
Romans, Galatians, Ephesians

5. God sustains us. We don't sustain ourselves. We cannot finish by our works what God has completed by the person and works of Christ. Good works are a result of the Holy Spirit in us - namely, to believe, trust, fear and love God, and love our neighbour.
Isaiah 41:10, Galatians 3, Galatians 5:22-23

In conclusion: We are to watch our lives and doctrine closely (1 Timothy 4), but salvation, from beginning to end, is by God's grace, and there is no condemnation for those who believe (Romans 8). As it's written: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

And again: "So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty."

We are only judged for sins that we did not repent of.

All sins wiped clean for cradle to grave. In response we ask forgiveness for ongoing weakness. Being human we are not capable of being perfect or having perfect memory or perfect understanding of all our sins.

Arent Saints the ones who endure until the end? Doesn't that mean they must not commit sin?
They shouldn't embrace sinning. But any moment lapse in prayer is a sin.

Ephesians 6:18
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

We will all be judged after the resurrection. Some to everlasting life and others will be sent to the lake of fire. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the advocate for the Christian. He is our propitiation. If you are with Him the Father will not see your sin.
Blessings

If you are a Christian and sincerely attempting to walk in the light as He is in the light you have continual forgiveness. I don't understand how one can be judged for forgiven sins that are no longer even remembered??? BTW, I'm not saying Christians will not be judged but the iniquities are covered by the blood of our Savior.
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:17

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The words "judgment seat" are the Greek word "bema". That specifically means the judge's seat at the olympic games where prizes were handed out.

As for any other question about your behavior on Earth, you need to read Romans over and over until you start to remember passages. And while you are at it, read Romans through 2 Thessalonians. That is the part that applies to Christians.
